To keep the Bonanza cauldron bubbling, we are thrilled to drop the full 3 hours of XDB's glorious Sunday morning slot from Bonanza back in March. 

Anyone who has heard XDB knows that these after-hours moments are where he shines brightest, and this is on full display for Rio 005, as he weaves his way effortlessly through the deepest of deep house, ambient techno, electro, acid and tech house. The music XDB plays is always hard to put your finger on, but is consistently interwoven with a certain intangible feeling and emotion. For many this was an absolute highlight of the festival, so we couldn't be happier to share this with you as the 5th instalment of our mix series.

Gay Felony (@gayfelony) is the creative project of Melody Scallion, mainstay of the LA dance scene for nearly a decade as DJ, video artist, sound system architect and promoter. A staple of the above-and-under-ground, she delivers ecstatic and exceptionally skillful extended vinyl DJ sets exploring genres from soulful deep & beautiful progressive house to brutal hard house & melodic techno. She has been a monthly resident on dublab for over three years and has performed in warehouses, wine bars and derelict sheds across North America with artists including Octo Octa & Eris Drew, Bored Lord, Introspekt, Claude Young, Justin Long. Through her fast & loose, uncompromising DJ sets she attempts to bring about an essential queering of the universe, pulling society into the Trans Future by any means necessary.

Taking over after Nicolas Lutz playing a magnificent sunrise set to a packed terrace is no easy task, but Adi made easy work of it on the Sunday morning of Bonanza this year. 

Kicking off at 7.30am, Adi never let the energy dip, working through house, electro and techno all underlaid with her trademark acidy sound palette. 

Listening back, this captures the sun-kissed energy of that morning perfectly.
