Thomass Jackson is a new entry in the Gomma crew. His style? Outsider House - or let's call it: Sex House! Soo funky and spartanic at the same time - you want to go straight to make babies!
Thomass is part of the new vibrant Mexico City electronic scene. Like most of the Gomma artists he comes from playing in bands before getting into electronic music: Bass, guitar, drums - in Funk bands. And he is kind of a cultural nerd (like many guys on Gomma): Movies, books - the crazier they are the more he knows about them. Be ready - this man is serious!

InfraTouch-Synthbrute [Mutant Rebels]

Spinning gold is pretty difficult. But that’s what Franz Scala does. Simple when you know how, and this Italian does. Three tracks of pure italo sunshine. Snapping beats and cocktail chords meet on the dancefloor for ‘Discoteca Paradiso’, sleek synthlines keeping time as the pair turn and twirl. ‘Gun Theory’ works in moonlit. Clean drums are sullied by dripping keys, a cigarette locked in the teeth of this after hours affair. And the lights aren’t up yet, Scala has one more floor filler up his sleeve. Pulsing rhythms say there still hope, she’s style out there; but the bitter sweet melodies disagree. A lilting heartbreaker, in the elegant form of ‘Riflessi’.

Franz Scala - Gun Theory

A remix appendix to Jennifer Touchs last year EP-Debut on Riotvan. A record, on which essentially everything has already been said. That´s why it is not astonishing that the assemled adaptations do not necessarily evolve the sound narrative of „Feeling C“ but rather revitalise the spirit of the originals in various clubscenarios.

After a slew of excellent releases on Nein and Night Noise Lithuanian up and comer Zakmina joins Roam Recordings to bring forth his Digital Burn EP. The title track is a show stopper with its smooth and driving peak time energy full of swirls, electric guitars, and gorgeous vocal chants. The second original Don't Laugh brings a more twisted dark flavor building on the theme of driving main time energy. 

The EP is backed by two superb remixes. The first is from Berlin based producer and 1/2 of Pardon Moi Freudenthal who brings a sublime otherworldly feel to the title track which could fit the mood to any a fine seance. Rounding out the EP is John Parsley who, after his Schlanke Socke EP turned heads earlier this year, returns to Roam with an fantastic psychedelic electronic version of Don't Laugh.

All four tracks come together into a well crafted and cohesive slice of electronic music to fit a variety of discerning dance floors.

Things had changed since people had got word of the untouched beauty of this forest. Once it had been home to all manner of birds, bugs and animals, blissfully unaware that they would soon be pushed out of their home in favour of humanity. Where tree branches once sprawled and thick green ivy had laced its way into the crumbling brickwork of ancient pathways, now glass buildings towered overhead and chain coffee shops teamed with tourists getting their morning caffeine fix. Regeneration had taken over, gentrification had creeped in. The endless battle of man vs nature.

For their seventh release, Vienna-based imprint Belly Dance Services enlist the talents of Mexico's Bufi AKA Theus Mago. Titled Baile Muerto, the EP flaunts Bufi's signature take on modern dance music; at times dark and hypnotic and at others bright, percussive and tropical-tinged. Both original tracks on the release are backed up by two remixes, one from label heads Hanzo & Yaman and another by Multi Culti boss Thomas Von Party.

It's been a tough year for everyone, especially for the electronic music and artists in general,  however, Madrid's Logical Records have seized this opportunity to bring  audiences something special and make important changes for the future. 

Label bosses Mike Sacchetti and Ivan De La Rouch have  decided to put together five magical tracks on what's going to be the first V/A Vinyl/Digital Release from the imprint. "Meteors" is the name given to this story and it's where the main characters came together from different places around the globe to take us on a trip filled with dark hypnotic sounds and groovy beats. 

Logical's 72nd release counts with the contribution of well known faces in the electronic music contemporary scene such as: Mexican duo Zombies in Miami, Parisian artist La Mverte, Berlin-based music producers Local Suicide & Skelesys, Label bosses Mike & Ivan and  Lyon's heroes Cornelius Doctor & Tushen Raï.
