There‘s something about first timers, innit?! A whole new level of excitement and in some cases, pure joy and satisfaction. For starters, don‘t you want to be friends with this piece of work already, just for its brilliant title? Well, wait until you hear the tunes then, and prepare for an everlasting bond of unfettered affection. What Panthera is exercising on here, is an extension of all his previous efforts and yet a demonstration of ability, taken to a whole new level. Meaning, this cycle indulges in the issuing of energized, sanguinely tempered clubtunes as something that comes just natural to this man, while broadening his stylistic spectrum to an unheard and absolutely thrilling variety. 

He fathoms the potential that both concepts of sonic representation - the ‚track‘ and the ‚song‘ - have to offer, placing this material into an exquisite realm, where both worlds meet. And he exhibits his expertise and versatility as a songwriter and producer, without ever showing off, but always inviting the listener and dancer into his very own space of lighthearted and wryly, yet passionately grooving understanding of electronic music. Once meeting all requirements of dancefloor-efficiency, another time spaced out into remote reverie, then again dropping lucid Pop-splendour and in the next minute descending into quirky tonal oddness. Plus, he salutes you as a skilled musician as well, playing most of the instruments on here himself. And let us tell you, there are quite a few! COEO are back on Toy Tonics! After uninterrupted touring around the globe, followed by a short creative break the guys come back with an even stronger sound. With the new EP they go more underground again. Its addressed to the clubs and night owls out there, who turn night into day and won't stop dancing! 

The sound is based on classic house patterns and includes a lot of cool saxophones, big piano stabs & rhythmic piano solos. They even go tribal, use arpeggios and switch into breakbeat heaven. The four Originals are a great next step in the COEO evolution. The unique warm, catchy atmosphere of the tracks can create that special COEO euphoria which made them a lot of fans. From Moodymann to Disclosure, Mall Grab to Kenny Dope, the list is long. 

It’s fantastic to see how popular they became over the last couple of years. The last COEO vinyl sold over 2500 copies and some of their tracks have millions of Spotify plays. It’s DJ FOOD. Pure bliss!

[FSLAB012] Ishome - Confession

Hooray! A long-awaited debut album by Russia-based young girl-artist Ishome.
"Confession" - that's the name, post-everything-tronic - that's the style. She cuts, slices, play, programs and mixes it all together by herself making a soothing mixture of complex broken beats, ambient atmos, quirky pop vocals and ground moving grooves.
Mirabella Ishome Kiryanova lives here and there from time to time - from South Bounds to Siberia. Being pretty young she's already done a huge job - released on Proton Music US, won a national contest by Russia's one of the biggest web-zines Look At Me "10 Top Young Producers", played on Stereoleto SPb and EXIT fests, was remixed by D/R/U/G/S an many-many more.
She constantly plays live acts across the country BTW and it's pretty amazing how this young artful dodger creates an insane twist all over the dance floor every time she's conducting it.
So in "Confession" we see Ishome in her best. With loads of quotations from different genres and subs she keep a firm paw on her sounding so you could easily know - who's that. Yes, nothing special in this fact but it's quite interesting for a 20-yo girl to have such a strong hand and vibe. 9 tunes - from ambient to old-school driven breakbeat, 2-step-smth, atmo-grime, techno and back.
Well, all in all it might be the main album for us at least in 2013. And it speaks for itself!
