The Headless Ghost trilogy out on Tamed Musiq comes to a close with the EP ‘Let’s Fall’. 
Headless Ghost, the analogue and 100% hardware project from Raphael Gros aka Ripperton has already seen him put out 2 acclaimed EP’s ‘Out’ and ‘77’. This third installment easily carries on their reputation with two remixes from fellow Swiss producers Deetron and Agnes. ‘Let’s Fall’ is easy to listen to, but in no way compromising the complexity of the productions, each remixer manages to bring a totally different angle to Headless Ghost’s ‘Let’s Fall’. 
Headless Ghost’s original first track Let’s Fall has an almost mechanic atmosphere certainly fitting with the mode of production. Let’s fall skips through staccato samples and pounding basslines, the track is raw and dark without losing its melody 
Deetron’s remix is a bouncing re-appropriation of Headless Ghost’s original track that maintains many of the same characteristics be it re-produced in a slightly lighter and higher sounding tone. 
Agnes creates a languid rolling version of ‘Let’s Fall’, chopping and changing the placing of the samples in the track she maintains an almost lazy rhythm throughout

A - Headless Ghost Let's Fall (Original 12  Mix)

Romanian DJ/producer BOg returns on John Digweed’s legendary Bedrock imprint with his single, ‘Rakuten’. With releases on Crosstown Rebels, Bedrock Records and a upcoming release on Get Physical, this 24 years young artist already managed to get himself a respected place in the international house scene. 

‘Rakuten’ perfectly showcases what the young Romanian is capable of. A dreamy 9 minute storyteller which slowly builds to it’s peak. It’s easy to hear why this track get's heavily played by John Digweed himself. Already released on vinyl, the digital release is set for the 17th of July on Bedrock Records.

Sophisticated minimalism was always a core feat of ALEX UNDER's portfolio, with the Spanish producer also serving as the founder and label manager for much-acclaimed techno label CMYK Musik. After releases on iconic imprints such as Trapez, Soma or Plus 8, the Madrilenian - one of the most sought-after electronic artists in Spain - now presents OLAS DE QUILA QUINA, his very first outing for Kompakt. Three slick, enticing cuts show him comitted to rolling basslines, rising synths and snappy percussion, all embedded in the futuristic sound design Alex has been honing over the course of his career. Unfolding to the backdrop of brooding metallic drones, the title track only needs a handful of carefully processed sounds to tell a highly evocative story - a focussed, geometrical jam that nonetheless allows for freewheeling outbursts of creativity. Pale Blue, the duo of Elizabeth Wight and Mike Simonetti, released their debut album to much critical acclaim back in 2015. They come together once again with their latest EP  You Stopped Dying due to drop on Crosstown Rebels in February.

“The “You Stopped Dying” ep takes influence from shoegaze groups like Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine and moves it to the dance floor....The result is a strange hybrid that some have called “technogaze”....This would never work if Liz wasn’t such a strong vocalist. Pale Blue  is a hypnotic affair, the driving bass sitting perfectly under  Wight’s  powerful yet ethereal vocals. Daughter of Babylon takes the record into heavier techno territory with its thudding bass and Wight’s breathy vocals delicately layered over the top. On the flip side  Love is an unapologetically industrial number with screeching synths that echo around Wight’s vocals.

Simonetti and Wight have each earned their musical stripes in their own rights. Simonetti founded the hugely popular Italians Do It Better as well as his own successful record label, 2MR. He’s released a slew of records on highly regarded imprints such as Me Me Me, Correspondant and Public Release, and enjoys a fruitful career as a touring DJ, which shows no sign of abating. Wight has previously lent her exhilarating vocals to the West Coast band, Silver Hands of which she was once one half of.
