'Dark Farfisa’ is the debut EP by Bruxula, the studio project of Toronto’s Cosmic JD and Jerusa Leao. Firmly rooted in the city’s music scene, JD runs the Hypnotic Mindscapes parties and label whilst Jerusa works as a singer and multi-instrumentalist exploring traditional and fusion sounds centered around a Brazilian music repertoire. Introduced to us by our mutual friend Raf Reza, the pair began to jam together in the summer of 2020 with JD curious to incorporate Jerusa’s vocals into his often club-focused electronic productions. The results sit somewhere between the dancefloor and the living room, a psychedelic range of rhythm, melody and vocal harmonies that felt like an immediate fit for us.

First sharing an early mix of ‘Pala Mo’, the rest of the EP began to form quickly based on further recording sessions and we at 12th Isle are ecstatic to share their work with the world.

The Headless Ghost trilogy out on Tamed Musiq comes to a close with the EP ‘Let’s Fall’. 
Headless Ghost, the analogue and 100% hardware project from Raphael Gros aka Ripperton has already seen him put out 2 acclaimed EP’s ‘Out’ and ‘77’. This third installment easily carries on their reputation with two remixes from fellow Swiss producers Deetron and Agnes. ‘Let’s Fall’ is easy to listen to, but in no way compromising the complexity of the productions, each remixer manages to bring a totally different angle to Headless Ghost’s ‘Let’s Fall’. 
Headless Ghost’s original first track Let’s Fall has an almost mechanic atmosphere certainly fitting with the mode of production. Let’s fall skips through staccato samples and pounding basslines, the track is raw and dark without losing its melody 
Deetron’s remix is a bouncing re-appropriation of Headless Ghost’s original track that maintains many of the same characteristics be it re-produced in a slightly lighter and higher sounding tone. 
Agnes creates a languid rolling version of ‘Let’s Fall’, chopping and changing the placing of the samples in the track she maintains an almost lazy rhythm throughout

We are pleased to present a new musical story. It's about a journey through the carefree memories of the author - electronic musician Thongvor.

This is Thongvor's first release, born out of his exploration of the world of electronic music, his familiarity with synthesizers, and his desire to convey images of lightness and warm feelings through music. The album's compositions are built around samples framed by the sound of keys. The sounds of drum machines are responsible for the groove, and Afro-Cuban percussion is for the dance rhythms.

Consistent, laconic and at the same time danceable, it instantly transports us to a parallel storyline where we are captivated by the sound of the ocean, the noise of the crowd and the singing of birds.

AZIZ returns to NYMFIELD with his second EP called 'Soul'. Four smooth deep house cuts making sure you're warm during these upcoming winter months. The EP starts with the title track 'Soul'. A tune with attention to detail within its layers. This in combination with solid beats, heavy bass and soul soothing chords, makes the tune true to its name. 'Higher' is a lush deep house record which finds its inspiration more into the mid-00's era of deep house. More techy and tighter beats in combination with deep pads and lush chords. Advancing into the EP we encounter the soul uplifting 'I Wish I Knew'. A bit reminiscent of summer and its glory days, this record is filled with synths, catchy vocals & that old school groove. Rounding off the EP we have 'Can't You See'. A proper mellow deep house cut. While the EP holds his basis within the deeper sounds, AZIZ brings multiple vibes & energy levels to the table. The waves moved slowly in the haze of the morning mist. The tide was out and the sandy beach was glowing in the pale light of the morning sun, upon it walked a beautiful horse which left a soft trail of footprints behind. Soon the beach would be full of people who had come to bathe in the last embers of the summer sunshine but for now it was empty and bliss. These parts rarely allowed for such solitude and love - they were often overwhelmed by the number of humans and their cackle which followed. 

Bobby Pleasure is set to release his first solo EP on Trouble Maker, an imprint based out of East London which has gathered a firm following and support. The EP also features a remix by none other than Craig Richards.

Hailing from Santiago, Chile and residing in Milan, Italy, Paula reveals her passion for rhythm through two distinctive cuts. Agua Congas slinks along, driven by a thick bass lick and insistent mallet dyad. Classically dubbed out guitar and vocals air the mix out, while a saw lead slices through, opening it all up. On the flip, Playa Frenesì leaps in with slamming percussion and a bass hook that'll blow your monitors, watch out! Crispy guitar solos rip in, resting for a moment, losing no momentum. Stepping back, Project Pablo was lucky enough to bend the A side stems into a lush stomper. Vocoded harmonies wash over the OG's mallet melody, and the rest just coasts along... Enjoy!

Following on from 'City Life' (Scissor And Thread #40) here is a brand new extended EP from composer, producer and musician Black Light Smoke, jam-packed  with pure raw House Music showcasing all the benefits of floating keys and rattling hi-hats, while masterfully interwoven vocal cuts take an infectious lead through the EP.

The title track 'Nothing Makes Me Feel (Good Anymore)' sets the tone with a snappy beat and a slightly melancholic vocal sample. 'Street Emotion' convinces with tasty dryness over a characteristic bass-wobble in the beginning before it opens up with a warm and swelling synth pad. 

In similar fashion 'Get Something' is beat-focused and dressed up with G-House vocal splinters which make it groovy as hell. 
'The Right Way' surfs on a wave of juicy chords and laid back vocals and especially the well-arranged break beat of 'The Right Way' creates the track's uniqueness. 

'Hustle' has some serious jack-flavor, transporting all the best of Chicago's warehouse sound while 'Golden Chains' is driven by a sophisticated garage bass-line, almost contrary to the emotional feel of the track, once more underlined by a distinctive vocal line. Well saturated distortion and Lo-Fi edges add up to a wealth of comfortably warm moods that represent Black Light Smoke's very personal expression of modern House sound, which you will be also be able top experience in his upcoming live set gigs.
