A highlight of Eskimo Recordings’ critically acclaimed compilation ‘The Red Collection’ https://soundcloud.com/gemini-brothers’ hypnotic ‘Travel Inside’ now gets a full single release, complete with this brand new track ‘Nights With Lorelai’ and a remix from https://soundcloud.com/lossless-cc label bosses SBTH. Classic late night house music the suitably titled ‘Travel Inside’ takes us deep on a trip as its soft vocals, echoing synths, chugging beats and discombobulated bleeps provide a space for you to lose yourself on the dance floor.

No less trippy is ’Nights With Lorelai’, another heady mix of elusive melodies, acidic squelches, luminous textures and wordless chants that wouldn’t sound out of place on an album like Orbital’s classic ‘Brown’ album. 

Gemini Brothers are Bucharest based Ionut and Razvan Chiron. With releases on labels such as Skint, Night Noise, Nein Records and now Eskimo Recordings the pair’s unique take on house music has seen them become firm favourites of everyone from Andrew Weatherall to Tiga, Psychemagik to John Talabot.

Apollo proudly presents the ‘All The Keys Are Here’ EP, Sebastian Mullaert’s beguiling debut on the label following collaborations with Mathew Jonson, Eitan Reiter, Aril Brikha and Ulf Eriksson, as well as releases for Hypercolour, Drumcode, Mule Musiq and Kontra Musik. 
While most well-known historically for his widescreen melodic techno as one half of Minilogue, Mullaert’s compositions for ‘All The Keys Are Here’ draw on a lusher, more organic palette of sounds, thrumming with intimate inner vibrations. Originating from piano based improvisations, these four musical excursions embrace simplicity through repetition and sparse arrangements that make for an ecstatic, enveloping listening experience.

Sebastian’s studio sessions and live performances take influence from his Zen spiritual practices and meditative techniques, with inspiration provided by the serenity and simplicity of the forest close to his home studio in the majestic Röstånga woods (next to Söderåsen National park)

Sebastian's strong desire to explore new sonic territories is rooted in his background as a classical violinist and pianist, which he had set aside to explore the deep and meditative potentialities of the dance-floor / techno music. 

A recent highlight of this evolution was his 2016 live collaboration with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich in Switzerland (known for their boundary pushing work on bridging the divide between classical and electronic). As part of this memorable event, a number of Mullaert's tracks were orchestrated and reinterpreted for a six-piece chamber group, (harp, piano, violin, cello, clarinet and French horn). Indeed two of the tracks featured on ‘All The Keys Are Here’; “Every Moment I Am” and “Earth Blossom” were part of the concert repertoire.

Sebastian Mullaert - Every Moment, I Am [Apollo Records]

The eighth piece of The Golden Ravedays puzzle will be released on Hippie Dance in August 2017. Number 8 of the series introduces two tracks that will take you to the far side of somewhere you’ve never been before. They are both reminiscent of outer space blues playing spooky games in a dust bowl.

Side A features Tuesday Paris Texas a tastefully arranged track with vintage sounds passing nonchalantly through a wild western aural landscape. The music is announced like a cowboy movie dual complete with bar doors swinging on rusty nails in slow motion. Mournful guitar strings swirl over a steady horseback galloping beat, expanding into a full-on-fire dance track. Halfway through a woman’s haunted voice appears and disappears like an eerie siren, a gunshot is fired (was that a gunshot?), a man whispers “what!?” Tuesday Paris Texas is in no hurry to give an answer.

Superpitcher - Tuesday Paris Texas (The Golden Ravedays 08)

Musically and emotionally, Superpitcher’s third full-length studio album, The Golden Ravedays is a one sound autobiography that exhibits the skill, feeling and style that the artist has honed over a period of twenty years, musically, and forty-plus- years, emotionally. And full-length it is: The Golden Ravedays is an epic album of 24 tracks that was released in January 2017 and is stretching over 12 respective chapter albums during a one-year period.

The 9th link of The Golden Ravedays chain will be released on Hippie Dance in September 2017. Where number 8 of the series took us to outer space, number 9 introduces two tracks that are an under-water celebration of all that is good and all that is sad.

Side A features Hiding. Imagine galloping sea horses pulling a Christmas chariot filled with dreams- come-true past enchanting mermaids, smiling sharks, waving tortoises and nonplused eels, leaving a gifted blanket of mystical sound in their wake. Hiding stretches and breaks into many layers of listening love without enforcing one particular sound.

Side B features Flying. The piece is occupied by a subaquatic melody colored by whale sounds and the echoes of immersed guitar strings. Flying is not about complex development or diversity but the weightless drifting of sounds that create a wonderfully hazy cloud to lose oneself in and fly, deliciously with the dolphins. Rest assure, the ending is be speckled with whimsical chimes showers, paving the way for the softest of landings.
