Inspired by René Laloux's film and the universe that emerges from it, Safar unveils his second EP composed of 5 deep yet percutive tracks which emulates a feeling of melancholy evolving throughout the project. La “Planète Sauvage” is a poetic adaptation of Stefan Wul's novel. Representing humans
reduced to the rank of pets of the gigantic Draags, Laloux stages a reflection on intelligence,
society, politics and human nature.
The Draags live on the planet Ygam. Their existence flows slowly, entirely turned towards
meditation. The children of the draags love tiny pets, the oms, brought back from a distant
and devastated planet, Terra. Some draags even consider this species as a pest.
A rise in power unfolds along the first side with broken and lunar rhythms.
The second side invites us to a slow and deep dance with pads sending our body and mind in
this fascinating world.

Following on from his well received ‘L’Avventura’ 12”, Warsaw based Bartosz Kruczyński returns as Earth Trax to Phonica’s main label for another EP, this time in collaboration with regular production partner Newborn Jr.

The pair have created a string of brilliant records together, such as ‘Sax & Flute’ on Rhythm Section, ‘Mirage’ on Les Yeux Orange and ‘If You’ on Shall Not Fade. Bartosz also has a growing solo discography under his own name, along with a variety of aliases such as The Phantom, Pejzaz, and of course; Earth Trax.

The A side here offers two versions of the title track, ‘Truth’, in which rose-tinted reminiscences of the golden late 80s era of house music literally echo, with dubbed out diva vocals cascading over wide snares and an almighty bassline, appearing through shimmering delays and reverbs like a vision of bygone nights reappearing in a dream.

To start your own club and to build up a completely new music scene in a small and poor city in the German countryside can be quite a hard ride. But to become one of North Rhine-Westphalia’s most respected and beloved venues within three years, should not be taken for granted. Since it’s opening in 2016 Mauke followed their plan to offer local acts a platform on which they can play with international artists such as Ciel, Palms Trax, Mor Elian, Roi Perez and Central. 

With Mauke Signature they are now going the next step. By kicking off this new project Mauke once again develops a platform for their local scene, friends and resident DJ’s, to help them grow internationally. Known through his outstanding release on ‚Raw Soul’ from two years ago, and after being a resident for such a long time, Sebastian Gummersbach is the perfect artist to set tone for their first twelve inch, which is set for release on June 21st, 2019. 

„You Brought Light Into Darkness“ comes along with three originals and a remix by close friend Marlon Hoffstadt who was already involved in Mauke’s opening party three years ago.
