Loryn Wilson Carter is a digital media strategist and writer who helps business owners and brands transform their social media presence. Loryn’s passion is developing digital strategies for companies who want to improve their outreach to people of color and women.  She is an independent consultant who helps organizations, businesses, and individuals position themselves as thought leaders via social media and other digital platforms. On her blog, Loryn gives best practices and lessons on how to better use social media not only to enhance communications strategies for companies and non-profits, but also to use it as a tool to connect with audiences of color. A digital organizer by day, she has run social media and SMS campaigns for NAACP and the Center for Community Change. Loryn has also written for Alternet, Clutch.com, BlogHer.com, and Revelist. She has also been featured on CNN.


Loryn inspires other women to follow their passions and pursue their dreams with boldness and creativity. She is the co-founder of Black Girl Digital, a community for black women who work in digital careers. She hopes to continue raising awareness about the lack of diversity in the digital space.

Melonee Gaines-Griggs is the owner and head tech maven of MPact Media Group, LLC.  Described as a hip-hop generation mama making writing and wanderlust a reality, she is a digital film content creator, blogger, freelance journalist, and social media strategist. She bridged all of these talents into her boutique firm to provide some of the leading African American film festivals, such as the American Black Film Festival and the International Black Film Festival of Nashville, and several national non-profits to more viable positioning in the social media realm.  She has worked in higher and secondary education for over 13 years and has used her digital expertise to build and lead efficient, collaborative teams. She has currently created a digital media internship program at her school, Booker T. Washington Middle and High School in Memphis, TN to train the next generation of high-potential youth. She shares about life helping to curate the best minds in the south, growing an agency in the digital age, and where you can catch her. Tune in!

Currently residing in Chicago, Deena is committed to bringing awareness to diversity in tech and ensuring that everyone has a seat at the table. When she’s not doing tech things out she enjoys hanging out with friends, cooking, and traveling.
