Camerøn x Budda Sage - Azalea Forest

A cross continental collaboration between Durban (Budda Sage) and Berlin (Camerøn), Azalea Forest features a stunning running arp and delicate piano chord progression that unfolds gently to evoke emotional depth and put listeners and dancers into a euphoric dreamy state. Perfectly suited for contemplative sunsets.

Blanka Mazimela - As You Are

A moody and brooding dancefloor weapon from the brain behind the Bantwanas collective. Our lead offering is defined by off kilter perc hits that emphasize the playful dance between a resonant lead synth, bassline and arp. It is a truly unique piece of music from the Dutywa, Eastern Cape (SA) native that captures the essence of forward thinking Afro House.

We are RISE, a Berlin based collective and label with cosmopolitan roots. Our members are Hyenah, Walter Griot, AMEME, GHEDI and Jane Ryse.  Collectively our members are from Nigeria, Benin, The United States, Congo Germany, Senegal and Ethiopia. We are heavily inspired by African House music, and equality, diversity and social justice is at the core of our identity.

We strive to create spaces where people can feel safe to express themselves, no matter their ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or social status. 

We aim to distill and deliver some of the core tenets of African music, namely dance and emotion, to provide some color and warmth in Berlin’s harsh grayscale palette. 

Here at RISE we aim to take HOUSE and TECHNO off the beaten path.
