KAKI’s musical journey started only 2 years ago, when he found his faith in the realms of Africa’s electronic music. He found his new sister: Nanghiti. Gravitation hit immediately and they did what needed to be done, they joined creative forces. Once in the studio they envisioned a track that let the people dance, vibe, groove, shake and love. "Love Is Real" was born.

Kaki created this tune blending influences from House, Melodic Techno and also Amapiano: ‘’It’s something that smells new’’.
With his first release ‘’Love is real’’ he is already breaking boundaries, taking his own genre again to a new level. We are excited to see where he will take us in the future.

We are RISE, a Berlin based collective and label with cosmopolitan roots. Our members are Hyenah, Walter Griot, AMEME, GHEDI and Jane Ryse.  Collectively our members are from Nigeria, Benin, The United States, Congo Germany, Senegal and Ethiopia. We are heavily inspired by African House music, and equality, diversity and social justice is at the core of our identity.

We strive to create spaces where people can feel safe to express themselves, no matter their ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or social status. 

We aim to distill and deliver some of the core tenets of African music, namely dance and emotion, to provide some color and warmth in Berlin’s harsh grayscale palette. 

Here at RISE we aim to take HOUSE and TECHNO off the beaten path.
