My next release comes with a bit of history. It was in 2016, when younger me was deeply inspired by the music Permanent Vacarion was putting out on their label. My friends and i listened to John Talabots ‘Voices’ and Koze’s remix for Mano Le Tough with almost spiritual amazement.

Since i live in Munich, i decided to give them a letter with a link to some demos i had written but i wasn’t able to find their letter box right away and felt increasingly stupid about the idea & went home.

Earlier this year Benji and i met for the first time at about:blank during an event i was playing at, which was set up by the agency we both just joined. We had a great talk and at the end i asked him if he was interested in hearing some demos that i had ready. He said yes and now here we are.

Being able to release my music on one of my all-time favourite labels fills me with a lot of joy and pride is the least i can say.

A million thoughts, memories and plans swirled round her head. She found it hard to live in the moment; always focused on the future or the past. In her opinion there was little to be gained from the present, she'd rather focus on what the future might or might not hold, even if it meant missing everything that was currently going on around her. Her hopes for what the years to come looked like were generally unrealistic, but she couldn't find any satisfaction in the here and now. 

Madrid's Sungate has been home to artists like Skudge, Trømmel and Rosati, to name but a few, and now they're welcoming two artists for a collaborative EP: Manchester producer Jozef K and acid aficionado Tin Man. Both have been making moves solo, Jozef with releases for the likes of Rawax, Lost City Archives and Firehouse, and Tin Man on Global A Records, Acid Test and Absurd Recordings. Of course the core of the release, Perfect & Nice Acid, is centred around the futuristic acid sounds both are no stranger to, with remixes on the flip from Voiski, Evigt Mörker and Moy Santana.

@adam-stromstedt is a Swedish producer, growing up in Stockholm, but currently residing in Sydney, Australia. He runs a label called @lyssna-records alongside fellow Swedish producer Flord King (lyssnarecords.bandcamp.com). They have such an awesome catalog of really tasteful & insanely groovy house on the deeper side. Adam has been running a regular radioshow in Sydney throughout the entire pandemic called @always-sometimes. He was nice enough to have me on the show twice for guestmixes & the show became my regular evening cooking / wind down soundtrack during the week for the last year or so. They just had their 50th & final Orbital Radio episode earlier this month (all episodes can be found here: soundcloud.com/always-sometimes). His music is incredibly meditative & groovy with so much thought & care put into sound choice, rhythm, witty vocal samples, etc. He has these extremely punchy, clean & crisp mixdowns that I've envied since first hearing his Redfern EP back in 2019.
