A song about a day In a future where cultures, peoples, and nature coexist in perfect harmony, there is a day celebrated by all—a day dedicated to the moon. 
On this day, the world pauses to honor the gentle light that has guided humanity for eons. 
People from all walks of life come together in peace, sharing rituals and offerings to the moon, symbolizing unity, love, and the balance between the Earth and the cosmos.

Communities gather in sacred spaces, surrounded by nature, to meditate and reflect. The air is filled with the soft hum of chants, as hands reach up toward the sky in gratitude. It is a day of deep introspection, where everyone turns inward to find joy, healing, and connection with the universe. The rhythms of ancient traditions blend with the serenity of the present, and the energy of the Earth pulses with life and renewal.

On this day, we remember that we are all part of something greater, bound not by borders or divisions, but by a shared respect for the Earth and the cosmos. The moon shines above as a symbol of this collective peace, reminding us of the beauty that lies in unity and the limitless potential of harmony.

Yemanjo - Deep Deep River

Sisters Leah and Chloe Smith founded Rising Appalachia on their back porch in Georgia, playing simple fiddle and banjo melodies and leaning into their families rich musical traditions. It has since become a globally recognized Americana and world folk ensemble, celebrating a unique blend of Southern-rooted music, storytelling, and community. The band features David Brown (bass, guitar), Duncan Wickel (fiddle, cello), and Biko Casini (percussion), and infuses music with a unique tapestry of Appalachian, Irish and traditional influence but stays connected to simple songwriting. Rising Appalachia has captivated audiences for nearly 2 decades, from busking in New Orleans to touring Europe, and has been featured at prestigious venues like Red Rocks, Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Woodford Folk Fest. Their performances at NPR's Tiny Desk and Preservation Jazz Hall have solidified their status in the folk music scene. Breaking industry norms, the band's approach to music is as much an artistic statement as it is a movement, culminating in their newest album, 'Folk and Anchor' a carefully curated collection of cover songs.
