Demon Drownin' Whiskey

Got a new mic & mic vocal booth stand for xmas and decided to test out their capabilities and do something fun to start the new year....have always wanted to cover this and try it in my own style - and this is the result :) quite pleased with it!

This is the second part of the stoner metal/hard rock thing Ive cooked up, to follow up from "Call of the Wild" - vocals could be bettter but hey..whats new :) think this could be a bit of an album closer - what do you guys think? Also if anyone fancies a shot at the vocals.....let me know ;)

Call Of The Wild (Instrumental)

The chorus for this song pretty much inspired the rest of this song, randomly popped into my head in the shower and i thought "hell why not, ill make use of it" so needless to say the lyrics are slightly more one dimensional than normal! Hope you guys enjoy :) 

Pushing 30

I havent done anything like this in nearly 2 years a short, simple electronic piece - threw this together in 5 mins as I picked the right sounds and the right progression and thought it was worth sharing! 

The Possibilities Of Infinity

Came up with quite a few riffs recently but they didnt quite go together (which will no doubt result in other metal tracks) but came up with a melody for this that reminded me of Be'lakor, Insominium etc so decided to try a more melodic death metal approach about a werewolf hunter....enjoy!

Oh and that kick ass solo before the outro is my bro handling those chops, good show old bean!

A random idea I threw together the last few days, sort of finding it difficult what to classify it as - nice and straight forward ballsy metal.......with shakey vocals as ever - enjoy!

I haven't done a soft track in awhile since like Xmas and thought this was overdue with all the rock and metal Ive been churning out! Im not sure the specific genre but Id label it as "badly sung Experimental Pop" haha

The Missing Piece

I have been aiming to make shorter metal tracks as the majority I have been writing have been big mad self indulgent songs of progressive length! So decided to write an "opener" type metal track....with pretty brutal results if I do say so myself! Wrote and recorded within the space of about 2 -3 days

Much respect to my bro Karl for his half of the solo towards the end, I didnt think it would be possible to write a catchy lead for this track! Kudos!

The Greatest Story Never Told

Its been awhile since I uploaded something but life sure does get in the way! Besides that Ive been writing material for a concept album with my bro which is coming along rather nicely....going to upload a load at once for you guys to give a listen to :)

This was a byproduct of the recordings, wrote this as an opener but felt ultimately it wouldnt have been a good way to start, so I might expand on some of the ideas in the other tracks we're writing but we shall see.....but see what you guys think anyways!

Hello!
I started writing my music around a year and a half ago (January 2009) just purely based on the passion I have for music and wanting to have a stab at it myself.
I began with the guitar when I was around 19 or so and never realy poured much effort into it until around 3/4 years ago. It was around this time I took the "plunge" and started gathering my resources to start making music.
So I got myself a bass guitar, drums, keyboard and all equipment I need to start (mics, audio interface etc) and it took me awhile to get a sense of direction, trying to find how I wanted to breathe life into my ideas. The obvious hurdle being the lack of musical training and just trail &amp; error as well as having an ear for music!
It took a while to learn the nuances of everything involving producing what I wanted to convey, mixing and pretty much the science behind the recording process. Im still not completly there but Im learning as I go along! All tracks I have recorded have not yet been mastered and are all currently just in demo form. Over time I have slowly got a better understanding out of how to get the best sound I can with what I have, but im still a rookie!
The music Ive been aiming to make has been made with the intention of being Progressive/Avantgarde relying heavily on influences coming from sub genres of metal (black,thrash,melo-death etc) as well as entirely separate genres like jazz,blues,ambient,industrial,funk etc. Its at times veering on the edge of being avantgarde.Sort of with the intentions of not pigeonholing myself and trying to give each track its own individual sound or identity even.
Im still currently working it as a one man project, hopefully it appeals to someone out there! Hope you enjoy whoever you may be!
