RsR

RiskSinRip (RsR) is an Italian, London-based music artist and producer, who first started making music when he was 14 years old, singing and playing guitar in various new-wave and post-punk bands.
His passion for artists such as Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk, inspired a more experimental approach to music, with the purchase of a Yamaha DX7 synthesizer.Further musical development necessitated more versatile machinery, such as the Roland MC303 and MC505, with which he produced his first songs.
 He then began extensive collaborative work with dub and ambient artist Szvaszo, who introduced him to ambient music.Artists such as Black Dog, Aphex Twin, and Autechre, soon became RsR’s musical role-models.A more adventurous approach required investment in more flexible tools, which introduced RsR to software such as Cubase, and Vortex hardware.
In 2002 RsR moved to London and created the project RiskSinRip, moving on to working with Ableton Live, and in 2005 he formed the musical project MeIcon, with London-based artist Home Alone.The duo released several tracks and collaborated with artists including Lilies On Mars, as well as remixing music for Sunny Day Sets Fire.When MeIcon ended, RsR concentrated full-time on his solo project until he was contacted by Studio3Rekords, with whom he remixed tunes for artists We Are From 1965, Pardon My French and Thierry Roland.
