Hypnotic Mindscapes presents Vol. 3 

Toronto label and party Hypnotic Mindscapes presents another issue of modern electronics crafted for the dancefloor with the third edition of their compilation series, displaying a bundle of trend-defying tunes from crew-adjacent artists.
A1 opens with long-time friend and collaborator Patamamba (half of Kimchi Records) with “Igoon of Blue”, shades of progressive house music simmered in evocative acid lines reminiscent of 90’s nostalgia. The A2 features Hypnotic originator Cosmic JD with a deep-slamming breakbeat piece titled “Steam”, punchy basslines and trancey arps bubbling into the early morning. On the flip, scene-vet and Seekers boss Alex Picone debuts on the label with “WhyWasteWine” a fast-paced, modern tech-house number with wonky melodies and metallic artifacts. Rounding things up, Moroccan (via Montreal) up and coming artist Jalil enters with an electro-infused ode to “Technology”.

Hypnotic Archives is a new mix series that features old recordings of DJ and Live sets from years agone. 

Kaelo Ghallagher is a Toronto based music producer and DJ since 1997. He produced amazing records under the alias JK47 among others. We are happy to share a bit of Toronto's underground club history, recorded live, un-edited, 22 years ago. 

This is a Live PA recorded in Toronto, at Breathe/System Soundbar 21 December, 2001. Using 2 Roland MC-505s and a Yamaha SU700 Sampler. 

All original Kaelo songs with the exception of “Run” written and produced by DJ Jet aka Jesse Goldfarb.

Run since the fall of 2012, Evanton is the italo/synthwave project of Greek electronic producer Evangelos Zacharopoulos (aka Binalog Frequency, Bionic Breaker etc.). With numerous releases under his belt over the years, Evanton has established himself as a leading force on the current new retrowave scene.

On this EP Evanton delivers 5 fresh, unreleased tracks, ranging from modern italo-disco and hi-NRG to 80s-style electrofunk and (surprisingly) downtempo 90s balearic-style sounds. This is definitely the most diverse release of this artist and surely an EP you just can't miss!

Very happy to hand the dials over to my good friend Dan for this edition of my show. One of the most passionate and talented DJs I know, this mix is a 60 minute dive into his recent digs. When he’s not bouncing off the walls and gets behind a mixer, you never really know what’s coming next and it’s that tantalising tension and anticipation that makes Daniel a pure joy to listen to.
