Argentinian talent Nacho Scoppa returns to the label with a five-track EP dedicated to renowned football club Newell‘s Old Boys in Rosario - Rojo Y Negro.

Nacho Scoppa is steadily making his mark on the global Tech House scene, collecting an impressive catalogue of releases on a growing number of the genre‘s leading imprints. Following his last offering in 2020, he returns to the label with an impressive new collection of tracks. 

Opening the release, ‘10’ sets the pace with racy rhythms and driving low-frequency power. A heavyset Kick and sub-bass combo create movement alongside rippling percussive layers whilst subtle melodic injections and soulful vocal runs fill the mix. 

‘No Excuses’ comes next with more percussive-focused allure. Another sturdy beat and rumbling bassline connection build out the groove of the track whilst swinging percs glide alongside brightened tones and feel-good harmonies from end to end. 

‘Rojo Y Negro’ keeps the energy at a premium with another terrace-ready weapon. Hollowed out sub-bass fills the space between weighty drum work and blistering instrumental sequences as the track goes through a relentless ebb and flow of rising melodies and subtly swirling vox layers. 

‘Rosario’ takes things deeper, focusing on underground flavours and intricate layers of carefully constructed melody. Keeping the top-tier exhibition of drums and bassline composition in place, the track rolls around directional percussion and stirring vocal samples to keep you anchored into the groove.

‘CANOB’ closes the release on the front foot via another masterful display of heavy Tech House with mammoth bassline drive and punchy rhythmic factors. The track is driven along by a dominant and catchy vocal topline, passing into different atmospheric stages in between relentlessly danceable segments!

This time, it's a full package! He brings all his gritty minimal attitude on the entitled "MPR" EP, a mainstay in Jean Pierre's sets over the last year, with Romanian star Nu Zau enriching the package with a silky remix.

James' originals exude roughness and arrogance, sounding dirty and crisp as ever. The minimal influences are undeniable, and his style perfectly fits with Pakate's cutting-edge sound exploration, with snaking grooves, heavy low subs, and catchy vocal tricks, whilst Nu Zau takes his remix into a more marching, joyful pattern with echoing stabs, light arpeggios, and crunchy drums.

Brazilian artist JONATAS C introduces 4 original songs on the release number hundred and two. 'Life', the main track, including a remix from the label boss u z z v and supported/played already by Jamie Jones and Marco Carola. 'Control', 'Smoothy' and 'Steppa' completes the EP where groovy and sleek beats can be found.

The countless souls that make up the New York City puzzle find life on RISQUE RECORDS' second release: 'Kalakuta' EP. This time, label-head honchos Shahar and Motum join forces for a collaboration track and a solo original each, adding some extra spice with a remix by Venezuela's mainstay Tony Guerra. The opening cut 'Kalakuta' delivers a warping blend of techy tribalistic drums and booming basslines beneath the track's hooky reggae-inspired vocals for a well-grounded jumpstart. Whilst on his version, Tony Guerra connects his signature elements of Latin heritage for a certified hypnotic bouncy number. Next up, Motum's solo track 'Rinse Repeat' slows down the tempo for a trippy and energizing dub tool accompanied by his catchy vocal loops and enthralling textures that will get you locked on the dancefloor. Leaving Shahar the closing duties on his 'De Lyon' with slinking bass lines merging with stripped-back percussive patterns and vibrant tech grooves.
