In the quiet tension between illumination and shadow, Ascent contemplates the fragile geometry of human choice. Inspired by the verse, “Nor are the darknesses and the light alike,” this work moves between the unseen and the revealed, where every sound becomes a flicker of consciousness reaching toward clarity. Like one turning toward the light of truth, or a wanderer staring into the absurd, the compositions dwell in the moment between understanding and surrender. Each tone, each echo, is a reflection on how the light we seek is shaped by the darkness we carry.
