**ARRVL 029 - Joseph Carlo**

As we embark on the launch of our record labels, what better way to build towards Monday’s debut release on Nero, by welcoming the producer behind the original track to deliver #29 in our Podcast series - Joseph Carlo.

Venezuelan, Joseph Carlo, was raised in the suburbs of Caracas and at the age of 20 relocated to Madrid. Initially turning his skills to producing different styles he found his foundations began to set telling musical tales of the unexpected; groovy, hypnotic, melancholic but with strong impact. His demotion in the studio has born several well received releases and he has been supported by Øostil, Greg Ignatovich, Animal Picnic to name but a few.

This mix reflects his sound. Build around the foundations of the darker side of melodic techno, but still with the twist of deeper elements. The forthcoming release with Nero features in the set, presenting Elena Kulstof’s remix.

With 'The Release' Ritchie Haydn makes his long-awaited debut on ICONYC Noir. Ritchie delivers a slice of warm, pulsating club vibes. The track kicks things off nicely with its melancholic moodiness shining through as we meander effortlessly through club inspired melodies, while the sultry bassline sits wonderfully on top, adding an extra layer of depth and class. Ritchie means business and it is evident with every step of the way. Essential stuff!

On remix duty we are very excited to welcome Rick Pier O Neil who also marks his debut on the label with a classy remix for the ages. The French producer who is known for his deep melodic progressive influenced sounds, keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive. It's all about the groove, cool house vibes and the deep driving beats that are working their magic around RPO's wonderfully arranged keys and the wonderful use of elements on offer. RPO once again has reminded us with his classy rework why we are so fond of him.

Next up we welcome back Arnaud Cordova & Julian Liander to the label. Their unique act and emotional creations carry quite a large scope. They are not afraid to explore esoteric or introspective themes and the end result is always a compelling one. Such is the case with their remix of 'The Release', which carries many of their most loved production hallmarks. From a warm, meaty low end to icy atmospherics and an effects storyboard to get lost in, there is certainly a lot to like. The main break is perhaps the high point, with the mood shifting from emotive to ominous with effortless ease. It's something you rarely see and they pulled it off beautifully here.

With 'The Release' Ritchie Haydn really shows that there're no boundaries, as this beautiful gem guides you to a full-on club laden, melodic hug of a release that will cause many smile induced moments! 'The Release' sees a worldwide release on December 7th, 2020 via every well-known digital content provider. Not to be missed.

We are now at the big 3-0 in our podcast series and we have been blessed with superb mixes over the 2 1/2 years the series has been running for. 

For our latest offering we welcome the artist behind the forthcoming debut release for our Label ARRVL Records...Lefrenk! 

A Caruña born and based, Lefrenk is passionate about electronic music in all its expressions, leaning towards Techno and its variants. 

With releases on labels such as PFL Records, Tulipa Records and Deep Different, this talented producer also shares his experience and skill, teaching production in Fanzine School.

Ritchies' musical roots began with a passion for the trance movement in the mid 90's and that distinctive Balearic sound. His love of soulful house and disco from the likes of Soulfuric Records and Defected tuned his ears to the structure of powerful melodies, wicked vocals and hitting the club scene to appreciate it all live. 

This was his inspiration to dive in to DJing and producing electronic music, which was soon followed by opportunities to perform in niche venues across London.

Since then Ritchie has performed at venues across the UK & Ibiza, with particular focus on the Capital scene including, Horse & Groom, Egg, Ministry Of Sound, McQueen, E1, Orange Yard, the incredible Ibiza Sunset Boat Parties, Eden and Pacha. Supporting brand promotions such as the famous Ibiza brand Pukka Up, London Sound Academy, ARRVL, The Gallery. EXiT, Selador.

His style fuses a range of influences from Nu disco, vocal, progressive & deep house right through to tech house and techno, depending on the time, space & environment.

His passion and love of progressive House, electronica & Deep techno, saw him co-found events and record label brand ARRVL 6 years ago - focussed on showcasing the music which takes followers & fellow genre lovers on memorable, emotive, musical narratives.

Ritchie also runs the house, disco and indie dance events brand, Social Beats, with over 20 events across London and beyond.

In the last 6 years, he has focused his attention to the production side, with a number of EP and single releases on labels such as ICONYC, Coldharbour, NYLO, 64K Recordings, Krafted Underground., Capital Heaven, Mango Alley and Manual. And there’s much more to come in 2024.
