What happened in the vision (read The Trial of the Living Island):

The translucent person who appeared on the island was a guardian of the island, a magical entity charged with judging those who approach. The vision was a warning: the island was assessing the purity of Alistair and his crew's intentions.
Although Alistair lived this experience as if it were real, the compass “plucked” him from that moment when the magical energy ran out. He now understands that the island will not allow just anyone to arrive, and that the trials will be both physical and spiritual.
The consequences:

Alistair was deeply scarred by the vision, but also confused: was it a dream, a warning, or a real event from the future? Morgana, after studying the compass, confirms that it was a temporary slip caused by the island itself, which is testing the travelers even before they arrive.
Alistair shares what he saw with Isabella and Morgana, but omits certain details, such as the words the guardian told him, “The heart that doubts will never cross.” This secret haunts him, because he fears that his own insecurities will doom the crew.
Integrate this with the new situation.

Beginning: “The Mark of the Moon”.
In a city illuminated by neon lights, a lonely man, Marco, walks the streets trying to forget his broken life: a recent divorce and distance from his children. As he crosses an alley, he sees a shadow moving at inhuman speed. Before she can react, she feels a claw tearing at her arm and she falls to the ground. Amidst the pain, he sees a wolf-like creature nimbly leap across the rooftops. In the alley, a mangled body lies in a pool of blood.

The police arrive and Marco, trembling, recounts what happened. Although they tend to his wound, it does not heal as it should. Something strange begins to change in his body and mind.

Transformation: The First Full Moon
The next few days are a torment. Marco feels feverish, his sense of smell sharpens, and he begins to notice violent and uncontrollable urges. The first full moon arrives and pain pierces him like a red-hot iron. His body transforms: bones breaking and reconfiguring, claws emerging from his fingers. He loses consciousness in the midst of chaos.

He wakes up naked in a park, his hands covered in dried blood and a metallic taste in his mouth. Horror consumes him as he hears on the news that several animals and one person were brutally murdered that night.

Confession and Help:
Marco calls his ex-wife, Clara, claiming he is sick and unable to pick up the children. Although separated, she still feels a deep affection for him and decides to visit him. When she arrives, she finds a broken, tormented man bathed in tears. Between sobs, Marco confesses what he believes is happening. Clara, incredulous but moved, decides to help him.

They investigate together and find ancient tales of lycanthropes. They discover that a werewolf can only be stopped by silver or locked up during the transformation. Clara promises to lock him up next full moon to prevent further deaths.

The Escape and the Hunt:
At the next full moon, Marco transforms and, although locked up, his enormous strength helps him escape. Clara, desperate, follows him. She watches in horror as her ex-husband, now fully wolf, attacks a police patrol trying to stop him. Normal bullets have no effect. Although felled by a gunshot, Marco gets up and disappears into the darkness.

Clara, between fear and love, vows to find a way to free him from the curse.

Chapter.1 The Origin of the Curse

Marco and Clara, after days of research, discover a disturbing pattern in local legends. Every so often, a man or woman tormented by guilt or emotional emptiness would mysteriously disappear, only to be linked later to savage attacks and disappearances. One name comes up repeatedly in the ancient texts: Fenrir the Wanderer, a creature who carries an ancestral curse and seeks to perpetuate his cursed lineage.

While investigating, Clara finds a dusty diary in the city library, written by a priest more than three centuries ago. It describes the story of a warrior who, after murdering his family in a fit of rage, was exiled to a forest. There, he was attacked by a creature that condemned him to a fate worse than death: to be the first lycanthrope, doomed to wander eternally, infecting the broken and guilty to share his torment.

The Encounter with the Ancestral Wolf
Marco begins to have dreams where he sees a huge wolf with glowing eyes stalking him. It is not a simple animal: its gaze conveys intelligence, hatred and a clear purpose. In each dream, Fenrir speaks to him, his voice booming like an echo:
“You are mine now. The blood you carry consumes you. Do not fight, embrace your destiny.”

Clara realizes that dreams are more than just visions. Ancient texts mention that the ancestral wolf visits the cursed to make sure they succumb to their new nature. But they also find a mention of something else: a forbidden ritual that can break the connection between the ancestral wolf and its victims. However, this ritual requires confronting Fenrir face to face, and the price could be higher than they are willing to pay.

The First Confrontation
Marcus, desperate to be rid of the curse, begins to accept the idea of finding and confronting the ancestral wolf. Clara, though terrified, decides to accompany him. Their investigation leads them to a mountainous region covered in fog, where Fenrir is said to dwell. As they advance, the atmosphere becomes oppressive, and the whispers of the trees seem to warn them of danger.

Finally, on a full moon night, Marco is involuntarily transformed while searching for Fenrir. Clara, armed with a silver dagger, must decide whether to face the monster Marco becomes or risk everything to keep him alive. At that moment, Fenrir appears in all its splendor: a colossal creature, with fur as black as night and eyes that glow like embers.

The ancestral wolf attacks Marco, not to kill him, but to push him to surrender to his wildest side. Clara, with her voice, manages to calm Marco enough for him to remember who he is, and together they manage to escape. However, Fenrir makes it clear to them that they have not seen the last of him.

In a small neighborhood supermarket, Zadkiel sees Joseph struggling to count his coins to buy a cheap margarine. This gesture reflects not only his need, but echoes the suffering of many forgotten souls. Zadkiel reaches out, not out of simple kindness, but as a divine reminder that there is always light in the midst of darkness.

Zadkiel fills a cart with food staples and, as Joseph heads to the checkout counter, hands him the bags full of food. For Joseph, these products represent not only physical sustenance, but also a reminder that there are still those who see and value him. Each item is a symbol of divine abundance, a tangible message of hope.

On the way to Joseph's modest apartment, Zadkiel hears his story: a man who worked hard all his life, now lives alone, with children far away and a heart burdened with homesickness. Zadkiel's words, though human in appearance, are full of heavenly compassion: “You are never alone. Your suffering has not gone unnoticed.” This journey unites the human and the divine in a simple, yet transcendent moment.

Before saying goodbye, Zadkiel leaves his contact number, but also something else: a seed of faith in Joseph's heart. Later, in his apartment, as Joseph unpacks his bags, he finds a small card with the words:
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.” (Matthew 5:7)

Joseph doesn't remember seeing that card before, but he feels an inexplicable peace envelop him, as if an invisible burden has been lifted from his shoulders.

From above, Zadkiel, now invisible, watches Joseph with a satisfied smile. His mission is not over, but this small gesture has served its purpose: to remind Joseph, and through him the world, that God's mercy is always present, even in the simplest moments.

Back in the city, Clara and Marco realize that facing Fenrir will not be enough. They must complete the ritual, which requires three essential things:

A pure silver object, cast during a full moon night.
This symbolizes the purity needed to seal the power of the curse. Marco recalls reading about a local goldsmith who works with silver and is known for following ancient rituals in his creations. Convincing the goldsmith to cast an object during a full moon will not be easy, but it is his only option. Clara decides to take an old medal of her grandmother's, a keepsake loaded with history and sentimental value, to turn it into the key piece.

The most painful memory of the damned, offered as a sacrifice.
The nature of this sacrifice is unclear at first, but Clara suspects that Fenrir keeps his deepest pain in the darkest corner of his soul, protected by his rage. As they investigate, they discover that Fenrir was cursed as punishment for a betrayal, and the key to extracting that memory lies in reliving that moment. Marco finds clues in old texts that indicate that the sacrifice must be consumed in flames, transforming the pain into purifying ashes.

The will to renounce the beast, something Fenrir will seek to prevent at all costs.
Here lies the real challenge. Fenrir's curse is not only a condemnation, but also a refuge. Renouncing the beast implies facing one's own vulnerability and redeeming oneself, something that will not be possible without coming face to face with the creature. Clara and Marco will need to find a way to force Fenrir to accept the ritual, perhaps by first weakening him or appealing to a human aspect that may still exist within him.

Forging Destiny

Clara and Marco visit the goldsmith, an elderly man named Esteban, known for his skillful hands and his belief in the supernatural. At first, Esteban is reluctant. “Working under the full moon always carries risks,” he warns. But when he sees Clara's medal, his eyes widen in surprise. “This has ancient power - are you sure you want to transform it?” Clara nods with determination, knowing it's a price she must pay.

Stephen agrees, but on one condition: they themselves must make sure the silver is clean and free of impurities before it is worked. This involves a trip to a sacred spring outside the city, where they must purify the medal under the crystal clear water of a hidden cave. The task is complicated when they discover that the cave is guarded by shadows that seem to have a life of their own, remnants of other curses that have become entwined with the place.

Confronting the Past:
While preparing the silver object, Marco and Clara must also trace the origins of Fenrir's most painful memory. Their investigations lead them to an abandoned village deep in the forest, a place where time seems to have stopped. There they find fragments of a diary written by a man who could have been Fenrir before the curse.

The pages are full of regret and anger, but one entry in particular catches their attention. It tells of a lost love, betrayed by the very hand that loved him. Clara suspects that this love was the catalyst for the curse, and decides to find a way to invoke that memory when the time comes.

With the silver object purified and the first steps of the ritual ready, Clara and Marco go into the heart of the forest under a starry sky. Each step they take plunges them deeper into a territory where nature seems to breathe with a life of its own. The branches twine as if they were trying to catch them, the wind whispers words they cannot understand, and the distant howl of a wolf shakes the stillness. Fenrir knows they are there.

They have no intention of fighting him yet. Clara holds the silver medal in her hands, feeling its weight and the energy it emanates. Marco, with a tense countenance, carries the journal they found in the abandoned village. “If there's any humanity left in him, this might remind him of it,” he says in a whisper, more to convince himself than Clara.

The wait doesn't last long. Out of the darkness emerges Fenrir, an imposing creature, half wolf and half nightmare. His night-black fur seems to absorb the moonlight, and his eyes glow like two burning embers. His every movement is fluid and precise, a predator at its best.

The confrontation is immediate. Fenrir roars, a sound that seems to come from the very heart of the earth, and rushes towards them with terrifying speed. Marco barely manages to dodge the first attack, rolling on the leaf-covered ground, while Clara backs away, clutching the medal to her chest. The forest becomes their battlefield, every tree and shadow a possible advantage or trap.

Fenrir is not just brute force. His movements have a cunning that surpasses the animal. He attacks and retreats, measuring his strength, testing his weaknesses. But Clara and Marco are also prepared. Marco manages to distract it by throwing a piece of burning wood at it, creating a moment of confusion. It is then that Clara, for a brief moment, dares to look him straight in the eye.

And she sees it. A flash of sadness. It is fleeting, almost imperceptible, but it is there. More than a beast, Fenrir looks like a creature trapped in its own torment. Clara feels a knot in her chest. “There's something else about him,” she thinks. Those burning embers in his eyes reflect not only fury, but deep pain, as if he is struggling to maintain control.

But Fenrir doesn't give them time to process what they've seen. His rage intensifies, and his next attack is even more ferocious. Marco barely manages to get in the way, yelling at Clara to back off. It is at that moment that they both understand what this means: they face not only a curse, but a desperate will to resist the inevitable.

They manage to escape, but not without paying a price. Marco has a deep cut on his arm, and Clara, though unharmed, feels that her mind is filled with questions and fears. “Is it possible to save him?” she murmurs as they walk away from the forest. Marco, with bated breath, replies, “I don't know. But if we can, it will be the only way to end this.”

They both look back into the forest one last time. Fenrir's howl echoes in the distance, a reminder that the fight is just beginning.
