Michel Amato's contribution to electronic music can barely be overstated. As TheHacker, and under different aliases, he has inspired generations of dance music fans and artists. Since his first release in 1996, Amato had a Techno phase, dipped into EBM, sci-fi tinged Electro and New Wave, but is perhaps most famous as a founding father of Electroclash. He met a kindred spirit in Miss Kittin and together they became of one the most iconic duos in electronic music, with hits such as 'Champagne' (1998) and 'Frank Sinatra' (2000) selling hundreds of thousands of records.

In 2004, Amato released his most well-recieved album to date, 'Rêves Mécaniques', and the years since witnessed Amato put out a wide array of club mutations on many leading labels, including a double LP for his own label Zone.

Today, he is as in-demand as ever, with a highly-acclaimed album, 'Le ThéâtreDes Opérations' landing on Dark Entries in 2017 and contributions to tastemakers like Helena Hauff, Erol Alkan and Veronica Vasicka's labels since. In the live and DJ environment, Amato is as revered as he is on record, playing high-profile events such as Dekmantel, Berghain, Nuits Sonores and Off Sonar.

Next up comes a very special set recorded live at Bassiani/Horoom’s ten year anniversary in early October. Having made common cause with the club in its infancy, longtime resident Hamatsuki (Mamuka Tskhadaia) and Morevi Records key figure Skyra (Sandro Papaskiri) are a perfect vector for the club’s vision. These two homegrown talents are legends in their own right, and well versed in their musical skill, teaming up on occasion and getting people moving to the sound of their surging beats. The community built around them and their Georgian confrères has grown exponentially since casual beginnings on the ground in Tbilisi, and the timeless mark they’ve left on the soul of the city is testament to its creative spirit. From chilled-out releases to laid back sets, the duo have an innate feeling for the other that complements and sparks surprising new ideas, downtempo house that sounds as fresh today as it did back then. For Bassiani Podcast 235, the pair flex their well-trained muscle and deliver an hour of groovy and undulating sounds, unbent rhythms for the dancing class. Tbilisi energy to the letter. Franco-spanish artist, DJ & musician, was born in Spain in 1968 but it was in France where he began his path in dark cold & E.B.M. sounds. Owner of Unknown Pleasures Records.

In winter 1988/89 he was resident DJ in two cult underground clubs in Southern France and consolidated his career at Trolleybus (Marseille) in 1993 with the fetish-industrial Armageddon festivals. Early 2000, the first record label interested in his rhythmic noise works was Divine Comedy Records (France). In 2004 he finished his first ever North American tour "Industrial Virus Tour" in USA, Mexico & Canada.

After having played in various industrial festivals (l'Usine / Switzerland, Infest/ UK, Nocturna/ Spain, Noxious Art Festival/ France...) and many countries (Spain, Belgium, UK, Mexico, USA & Canada, Chile..) he works in 2007 with french techno artist THE HACKER on song "Novo Disko", an old-style EBM track (appears on "Electronic Manifesto" compilation published on Caustic Records).
In 2008 HIV+ produced his last official album "We Are All Haunted Houses" (Caustic / DC rec) and maked a cover version of The Normal's classic "Warm Leatherette" on a vinyl picture disc (OPN records). He also produced some various artists compilations called "Electronic Manifesto" series with classic New Wave covers and cult electronic artists.
In 2012 Pedro collaborates with Usher (from french band NORMA LOY) and they produced vinyl EP "Black Monolith" during summer 2012 (on OPN records / France) and their first CD album "Wide Lights From Hatred Springs" (Signifier records / USA January 2013) which contains tracks remixed by ABSOLUTE BODY CONTROL or RADICAL G.
Finally Pedro found (as lead singer & manager) with Usher the franco spanish synth-pop band ADAN & ILSE recently remixed by DAVID CARRETTA, THE HORRORIST, JOHN LORD FONDA, FRANCK KARTELL, COMMUTER, CHRISTOPHER KAH, HAUJOBB, MLADA FRONTA.
In December 2013, Pedro founded and directed the new music label called https://soundcloud.com/unknownpleasuresrecords for promote EBM, synth wave, cold wave & minimal wave with intelligent techno industrial sounds.

Releasing selectively on well respected underground labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Throne of Blood, Ombra INTL. and Relish, Curses also runs a Rinse France monthly radio residency showcasing artists who share a love for mixing wave and weird disco.
