“Cumbia, amor y libertad” es un DJ set dedicado a toda la gente que ama el baile. Una selección de cumbias de los barrios más profundos de la capital mexicana, Puebla y Cholula, amplificados con sonidos electrónicos y toques étnicos de México.  

El gusto por bailar cumbia y el movimiento sonidero son manifestaciones que los mexicanos extrañan fuera de su país y que Ritmos Cholulteka propone de este lado del mundo. 

Con este DJ set, Ritmos Cholulteka recuerda y manifiesta que cuando se escucha la cumbia sonidera, se siente una gran alegría y libertad dentro de nosotros. 

Este set fue grabado, en inauguración de los ciclos RITMOS SONIDEROS en la fundación CASA DE MÉXICO, Madrid, España 2023.

Arumbo is the result of an artistic and musical exploration by Marta Meix Garcia (Barcelona) and Jonas Mertens (Brussels), inspired by the experiences, learnings, and emotions from this beautiful process called life. Since 2015, they have performed over 250 concerts on renowned stages across Europe and released two albums and an EP.

For their latest album, Mirada Transversal, they collaborated with Jairo Palchukan, an indigenous musician and multidisciplinary artist from the Kamsá community in the Colombian Amazon. This work is a more personal and introspective project, inviting listeners to connect with that mysterious space of spirituality we carry within.

On this remixes album we find a very fun mix of artists and ideas, a lot of Latin American influences combined with the new grooves from Spain, making an album that’s very deep, catchy and fresh in terms of sounds and rhythms, we are sure you’ll enjoy it a lot.

Somos um projeto de DJing que parte de uma pesquisa sobre a música e a dança de origem sul-americana e africana, com enfoque em períodos históricos marcados por reivindicações identitárias das comunidades e gerações de origem africana. Denunciando a escravatura. Queremos oferecer palestras e bailes ao som dos pratos, olhando para a música e a dança como formas de afirmação e intercâmbio cultural. Propomos um olhar que atravesse o fenómeno musical com questões que se relacionam com a história, com os encontros e com a circulação e a afirmação identitária das culturas mais tropicais em crescimento nos grandes centro urbanos por todo o Mundo.

Comparto esta mixtape, para que cada uno se encuentre dentro de sí, siento que son justos momentos para viajar dentro de ustedes propios, para poder encontrar su fuerza, su fortaleza y su amor en estos tiempos de RESILIENCIA UNIVERSAL.

Es un viaje de un viaje, este nuevo proyecto es la idea de hacer secuencias de canciones, libre de ponerlas, como si fuera una radio. Secuencias de canciones escogidas para vivirlas y que cada una haga su viaje sonoro. 
Siempre me gusto tener un radio, por lo cual, hago un tipo de emisión para la gente en casa, la gente que cocina, come, estudia, esta leyendo, hace ejercicio, juega con sus hijos o simplemente esta encontrando su soledad.

Ritmos Cholulteka/ C-A-N-O-A

RITMOS CHOLULTEKA aka BRUNO SIN MÁS (DJ & Photographer) based in Lisbon. One of the pioneers of the “nights of cumbia and Latin American music” in the Portuguese capital. Creator of "Movimiento Cumbiero" a movement to unify Latin American residents in the city from 2013.

Founder of NAHUEL COLECTIVO, with the purpose of spreading Latin American culture in Portugal and co-founder of the TROPIKAOZ project.  Currently producer and curator of the BALKAN VS CUMBIA monthly party at TITANIC SUR MER (Lisbon).

Bruno Zayas comes from what was once a small rural town in Mexico and formerly a native civilization (Cholula). The mixture of native roots with popular sentiments has always been very influential in the musical journey and "bailanguero" (dance journey). Giving the result to intervene with the audience with a mixture of these two roots, to fill them with CUMBIA in heart and soul, but with the detail of amplifying dance and pleasure with electronic, Balkan or African sounds. The objective is to go around the world dancing to the rhythm of interculturality.
The DJ sets have a deep and lively energy mixed with Mexican pre-Hispanic instruments and accompanied by native visuals.

Throughout the process Rhythms Cholulteka has shared the stage in festivals and local partys  with national and international artists as Largatijeando, Kurup, Ohxalá, Venga Venga, Manu Chau, Rafael Aragon, R Vicenzo, Cigarra, Birdzzie, Matu and Pandilla, Shantel, Balkumbia, Tremenda Jauria and many more ... 




Proviene de lo que fue un pequeño pueblo rural de México y antiguamente una civilización nativa (Cholula). La mezcla de la raíz autóctona con los sentimientos populares siempre fue muy influyente en el transcurso musical y “bailanguero”. Dando el resultado de querer intervenir ante el público con una mezcla de estas dos raices para llenarlos de CUMBIA en alma y corazón, pero con el detalle de amplificar el baile y la gozadera con beats electronicos, balcánicos o africanos. El punto sabroso es, darle la vuelta al mundo echando un baile al ritmo de la interculturalidad.
