Erhan Kesen was born on 04.03.1984 in Instanbul. Already as a child, Erhan had to do with a lot of music. At first he started to study architecture, but he fell for his passion and decided to play and produce music. Genres like soul, funk, acid-jazz and their stars including James Brown, Prince and Jamiroquai are were his inspiration. At the end he found that the electronic music is his true inspiration.
Because he performed so well as a DJ in the clubs of Instanbul, he got promoted to a Resident DJ in one of them. He played support acts for DJ’s like Gilles Peterson, Gotan Project, Jazzanova Live and Bugge Wesseltoft. The manager of the high decorated club Nublu in New York noticed Erhan and made him Resident of his new Nublu Club in Instanbul. He was so successful there, clubs in Instanbul like Anjelique, Milli, Ghetto, Vibe and Lux booked him to play for them.
To improve his profession he studied Audio Engineering at the SAE Institute. During his studies he continued producing and releasing tracks for the Phat Elefant label in Amsterdam and Tenampa label in Mexico.
Since 2012 Erhan is getting more and more successful and when the Suxul_Club (Ingolstadt) made him the offer to be the resident, he decided to go to Germany. He got to know LOPAZZ and K-Paul. He started producing for them, also. Since 2014 Erhan signed at the Berlin label WHATIPLAY. We are looking forward to his further development!

Erhan Kesen wurde am 04.03.1984 als Erahn Odunkesen in Istanbul geboren. Bereits in seiner Kindheit beschäftigte sich Erhan intensiv mit Musik. Beruflich widmete er sich auf Grund seiner Ausbildung am technischen Gymnasium zunächst der Architektur, sehr bald  jedoch gab er sich seiner eigentlichen Leidenschaft, der Musik, ganz hin und wurde dabei von Soul-, Funk- und Acid-Jazz-Größen wie Prince, James Brown und Jamiroquai inspiriert. Seine wahre Inspiration fand er jedoch erst in der elektronischen Musik.
Mit seinem 18. Lebensjahr bekam er die Möglichkeit in Clubs aufzulegen und auf Grund der positiven Resonanz wurde er Resident DJ im Club Club Babylon in Istanbul. Dort brachte er die Crowd u.a. für die DJ’s  Gilles Peterson, Gotan Project, Jazzanova Live und Bugge Wesseltoft in Stimmung. Der Inhaber des renommierten New Yorker Clubs Nublu wurde auf ihn aufmerksam und stellte ihn als Resident-DJ in seinem neuen Club Nublu East in Istanbul ein. Sein dortiger Erfolg bescherte ihm weitere Gigs in den besten Clubs Istanbuls wie das Anjelique, Milli, Ghetto, Vibe und Lux.
Um sich beruflich weiter zu entwickeln absolvierte er ein Studium im Audio Engineering Programm vom SAE Institut. Während des Studiums produzierte Erahn weiterhin Musik und releaste für die Labels Phat Elefant in Amsterdam und Tenampa in Mexico. 
Seit 2012 machte sich Erhan auch mehr und mehr einen Namen in Deutschland und als ihm der Suxul_Club in Ingolstadt ein Angebot als Resident machte, beschloss Erahn nach Deutschland umzusiedeln. Hier lernte er u.a. LOPAZZ und K-Paul kennen , für die er dann auch anfing zu produzieren. Seit 2014 ist Erahn beim Berliner Label WHATIPLAY um Sascha Braemer unter Vertrag und wir dürfen gespannt auf seine weitere Entwicklung sein.

Rising from humble beginnings like Icarus heading towards the skies, Singularity plots its course for the stratosphere as it heads ever onwards and upwards…but unlike Icarus this is a tempered and restrained ascent not an easy task to pull off but one that makes the impact so much stronger for it's subtle, ever evolving simplicity.

With a melody that comes on like a half-remembered memory and lingers long after the sound itself fades away, Singularity stays with you, slowly and carefully weaving its way around you while its drums beat a steady, forceful pulse and its percussion jumps in and out like Billy Pilgrim skipping thru time. The combined effect is something much more than the sum of its parts. Somehow this simple techno tune creates an entire world of its own and asks you to inhabit it for a while, losing yourself in the process..

On the flip side, Monoloc exercises an equal and proportional restraint in his take on things. Like a voice emerging from a faded dream, the melody peeks out behind a curtain of reverb and industrial drums compellingly foreshadowing its full potential. Growing from there, the atmosphere slowly engulfs the listener until finally the slow build up reaches its full force providing a fantastic re-imagining of the original with an almost romantic yet no less powerful conclusion.

Mit dem ersten Podcast für das Jahr 2020 wiederholen wir etwas, denn die Nummer 98 stammt erneut von Nadine und Marie Midori. Wer unsere Podcast-Reihe verfolgt, dürfte die beiden Berlinerinnen schon musikalisch kennen, falls nicht verweisen wir gern auf den Beitrag zum Jahresanfang 2019: https://www.frueher.com/das-haett-es-frueher-nicht-gegeben-95-nadine-marie-midori/. Bis heute legen die beiden auch als DJ-Team zusammen Platten auf, sind vor einiger Zeit als Artists bei Quality Time Booking ankommen und freuen sich dort mit Elliver auf ein wildes Jahr 2020.
