This track was inspired by the execution of Catherine '' La Voisin '' in the year 1680, accused of witchcraft. Quiromante, an abortionist and promoter of Black Masses, became involved in the "Case of Poisons", possibly acting under the influence of Madame de Montespan, the former official mistress (maîtresse-en-titre) of Louis XIV of France. Through the use of sorcery, Madame de Montespan sought to recover the favors of the king, who preferred Mademoiselle de Fontanges.
