RTL045 l Different Age - Viper EP

'The 28th EP of the label consists of three elegant tracks. There are two originals by the talented Spanish artist Paralel (@paralel_mind), of which the title track ‘Rose of Jericho’ got remixed by the renowned French artist Remcord (@remcord).

The first track, called ‘Rose of Jericho’, is also the title track of the EP. Throughout the track there is a rising intensity, caused by minimalistic differences in the main elements. It’s a very detailed track, with an almost continuous high energy. This energy only got interrupted by two intriguing small breaks.

In his remix, Remcord took some of the smaller parts of the original and with his analog workflow he kept the analog vibe of the full EP. He added some sophisticated elements, starting with the interesting lead melody and his own spacey voice recordings. He managed to create a very thoughtful remix with a lot different aspects, which are forming a great unity together. 

The third and last track of the EP is called ‘L’Immortel’. This is a dreamy one, but just as the other original it’s keeping a high intensity. The combination of the raw and elegant synths and percussion makes this track suitable for a lot of different sets. Also, Paralel gave this track a slightly emotional touch, which forms a lovely closing to this EP.'

Rose of Jericho EP

Once again, Anis Hachemi and Alex Kaspersky have done a truly titanic job for days on end recording a new studio album Atura. This time the guys created a technological singularity from indie dance, tech house, and techno.

The album starts with the track Atura, which is dominated by an assertive techno-rhythm with unsurpassed robotic vocals, and Drumcode lives up to its name with powerful percussion with cosmic motifs. Everything Gonna Be Alright features a calm bass drum and measured vocals. Kemik with its broken rhythm is replaced by Ride's groove motifs. The synth line and flanger take us to the dance floor along with the track Midnight disco where Yoruba closes the curtain on the classic and calm house.
This album draws you in like a black hole without letting go until the last track - a magnificent work from the unsurpassed collaboration of Anis Hachemi and Alex Kaspersky.

On the second title track, "Menschen", TH;EN with the collaboration of Christopher Doerr drench us with shimmering festival vibes, as we meander effortlessly through melancholic melodies, while the sensual chords, while the vocal riffs sit beautifully on top adding an extra layer of depth. A predominant piece, as all sorts of elements, come in and out of the ear. Perfect for a beat-loving club crowd or to close a big night out in style.

To finish this work TH;EN presents us with "Ancora Quie" a beautiful track where the vocals transmit you to another dimension with a polished sound, it keeps the original vintage nostalgia of this work alive, with a cutting bass, before the drum fills and overall warmth combine to speak. Like something from yesteryear, but with a fresh sound, its transcendent romp raises the energy levels, but heightens the melancholy with elements both lucid and stripped back at the same time, before luscious pads adorn the breakdown changing the mood and creating a blanket of warmth that envelops the affected groove, simply wonderful.
