We are delighted to welcome Ukrainian duo YAME to Lost on You, with their new release "California". YAME presents us with a fresh and innovative sound where despite the current events, their passion for their art never dies, the music keeps their souls alive.

On their debut album, YAME comes up with an excellent title track, "California", a stunning melodic track so harmonic and beautiful that their voices stick in your mind like the sunrise on a summer's day. The track uses a deep atmospheric base, underpinned by long bass and soft synth chords where California's signature vocals and lyrics unified by a deep bass drum and a melancholic touch gradually work their way to the top. The composition climaxes by adding pure interstellar-style supersonic elements that come together to create a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction. Clever synth phrases complete the picture to create an artfully crafted work of art.

The progressive soundscapes of the second track, "Eagle Tails", complete this spectacular release. The influences of YAME are immediately apparent, as subtle free-form concepts glide through the sterilizer-inspired instrumentation and progressive rhythms with catchy bass vocals and undulating melodies travel alongside a deep kick that anchors an aural setup to create a special moment of sonic infusion, complemented by an impressive groove that will leave an impression on your auditory perception. Stunningly textured melodies that warm the soul and a strong melodically infused bassline provide the foundation for this inspired piece to unfold in delayed glory.

To end this masterpiece, YAME delivers "Eagle Tails", and as an emotionally charged farewell, the duo delivers a melodic and suspenseful blend where the sentimentality of this masterpiece will take you on a journey into the deepest places of your soul. Eagle Tails is driven by that engine that is the combination of all the elements used by YAME with his vocals doing a sublime job and tight drumming as it all combines to speak. Like something from yesteryear, but with a totally fresh sound, this massive shuffle is muddled with a line of synths that dominate the whole time and elevate the amounts of energy increasing the momentum with lucid and stripped-back elements, before the energetic groove creates a blanket of warmth that will put a smile on your face.

With YAME's debut, Lost on You, the duo takes their talents a step further to round off this brilliant, crowd-pleasing 3-track underground track. To complete the package, we added “Fish Trip” to this EP. Ingredients: Casio CZ, Juno 106, Yamaha DX7, … plus somebody explaining how a worm can swallow a fish. ;-) Let's say this person had a ‘good trip’. Also for this track we found the perfect remixer: Vhyce!
