I wanted to let the emotion do the heavy lifting and so I've purposefully kept instruments and the beat under control so that the emotion is  left exposed with simplicity. The amount and layering of instruments is complex but appears simplistic and minimal, but the more you listen to this song the more you hear and pick up on.
