RiVAL was formed in October 2013, 3 guys unknown to one another stepped into a room and jammed.  Literally made it up on the spot together, no preconceived notion of what to expect or “this is how we play it” style. Jammed for 3 straight hours and saw what potential there was.  

Fern Bouie, a local Music producer/Audio Engineer came in and had 1 room left to rent in a newly created jam space. Mike, Matt and Jeremy all looked at one another and said, “ya, let’s do it”. Their room was less than stellar in the beginning, but within a month they had created a room that welcomed creativity and ambient jams.

There has been an attitude since day one, a “ya man, let’s do it” or “no problem, we’ll get it done” approach. In the face of adversity, Matt, Mike and Jeremy have pushed through thick and thin and found a fourth member, Jamie Duyns. 

With a newly recorded EP about to hit the streets, RiVAL I, RiVAL is ready to showcase the raw energy and groove that lies between their fingers.
