M.In one of the most prolific producers of Germany sent us a very original EP. He has managed (with the help of Suptil) to re-convert two edits from the 70's into two electronic pearls. These cuts maintain the magic of the original songs giving them a futuristic point of view. Very playable, very smooth, very classic, very 70's and very actual. Oh, we almost forget about it. It would be very tough to dispute the phrases „good things come to those who wait“ or „less is more“ when talking about the impeccable standard of Sebo K’s productions over the years. Looking back at the very first mobilee ‚Too Hot’, and other hit releases such as ‚Diva’ and ‚Spirits’, as well as a collection of remixes on some of the most respected labels – he is given name in any serious house music collectors’ bag and now we have another wax to add!

‚Mr.Duke’ is nothing short of a Summer anthem....opening with a delicately constructed rhythm pattern that eventually makes way for beautiful synths that build and lift your hands in the air with them. It warms you up just as the sun does, re-appearing from behind a cloud and covering your body in it’s rays. Summer and Sebo K – the perfect combination.

On it he presents two versions of the track 'Near Me' and new track 'In The Woods' but it's the 'Club Mix' of lead track that we've selected to present to you today, ahead of Maxxi's return to Room One this coming Saturday night (6th June). What better way to kick off 2012 for Suruba than new productions from the label heads themselves. After a cracking year that saw Los Suruba release music with Noir Music, Darkroom Dubs, Eklektisch, Time Has Changed and of course Suruba and Suruba X, today the duo serve up a statement of their intentions for the year and deliver and tasty starter ahead of their first EP for Get Physical in February.   

Both originals present contrasting and fresh moments for the floor. Basslines lead the way accompanied by the fantastic vocals of Louisahhh!!!, Los Angeles-based New York artist that you'll remember from last summer’s: "Your Everything" by Danny Daze.   

Backing the originals is a remix from major iberian talent, Edu Imbernon. Although only 22, Edu has already lent his remix talents to The XX, Maya Jane Coles, X-Press 2, Paolo Mojo and Uner... and released his own work on more than 30 labels including Get Physical, Diynamic, Noir Music, Darkroom Dubs... and has been the youngest no.1 in Beatport’s history.

Maverick DJ/producer Riva Starr burst on to the house music scene in 2009, impressing a wide variety of fans with his cheeky productions and remixes which straddled genres, tempos and geographical inspirations. Now the man born Stefano Miele is pleased to announce the release of ‘Absence’, the first single from his forthcoming sophomore album ‘Hand in Hand’.

‘Absence’ shows off Riva Starr’s indie background and is probably his most mature work to date. Mixed by Ash Workmann of Metronomy fame, this quirky love song features vocals by ex-The Research singer Russell Searle. Initially drafted in with the sole intention of penning a few top-lines, his quirky infectious interpretation soon conquered all, and so RSSLL came to be.

The video for ‘Absence’ comes from Milan-based director Virgilio Villoresi, an award winning “artisan” filmmaker whose bizarre influences (from Polish animators to US underground arts) are clearly reflected in the intriguing final product.

Throughout 2012, Riva Starr graced venues such as Manchester’s Warehouse Project, Watergate (Berlin), ElRow (Barcelona) as well as hosting his “Snatch! Records” tent at Creamfields and Tomorrowland. Check him out on the 15th of February at a rare Fabric appearance.

With the release of ‘Hand In Hand’ this summer, 2013 is set to be an even bigger year for Riva – watch this space…
