Caroline wrote this song after her Father committed suicide in an effort to understand his pain & suffering, & to find some kind of meaning in it. It is a song about coming to terms with & making or finding Peace in & through a very difficult situation, & finding your way back to Love & the Light.

Jason wrote this song back in 2002 after getting arrested for the last time before turning his life around. It's a song that speaks of taking your licks & getting back up to soldier on, & rising up to become ever greater & more triumphant than you were before your tribulations. A song of victory, a song of hope & perseverance.

Freedom is a song that Caroline wrote that talks about breaking free of the psychological chains & shackles that imprison us in our own minds & hearts. It's about recognizing that you can separate yourself your thoughts & feelings & choose a different & better path. A path that leads to Peace, Love, Forgiveness & the Light...

Freedom

I wrote this song back in the early to mid 90's when I was hitchhiking around Canada & the US. I stopped in to visit my aunt & uncle Bob & Betty Marie & they had just had their first baby - my little cousin Haley. I walked up into her room to see her for the first time & she was laying in her crib sleeping soundly, the window was open & a gentle breeze was rustling through the leaves of trees & causing the sheer curtains in her window to dance around making the sunlight that filtered through the leaves dance all over her face & little body. I just fell in love. She was just such a beautiful little angel. I happened to notice an acoustic guitar in the corner & picked it up & strummed it softly. It was kind of out of tune, but loosely fell into a DADGAD or something similar & I just started playing what became this song right on the spot. I think I later changed the tuning to an open D, but the song remains un altered except for the tuning. It was a moment of pure & divine inspiration & Love.
