This song by Mindy Murray tells the story of how a young woman's ghost helped convict her husband of murder. Shot on location in Greenbrier County WV, we hope to use this song as a vehicle to help victims of domestic violence by asking for donations to the Family Refuge Center which serves Greenbrier County and the neighboring two counties.

The River Drivers are releasing their original song “Cumann na mBan” to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising and the Irish women who clasped hands across class boundaries to help lead the fight for an Irish Nation. They were activists, nationalists, feminists and socialists whose ultimate sacrifices were, for far too long, overshadowed by their male comrades in arms.

“Did Ya Vote” is an urgent call to all women to honor those who came before by getting out and voting. Written by Mindy Murray and Kevin McCloskey, this song coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Nineteenth Amendment to the US Constitution that finally enfranchised women. A winner in the International Women's Freedom Song Contest 2020, the song celebrates the strength of the women who fought for suffrage and the power that modern women can yield by exercising that right.  Murray and McCloskey are members of The River Drivers, a folk roots band known for its powerful and compelling narrative songs anchored in themes of social justice. Four friends, more than half a dozen instruments, and good craic. The River Drivers have roots in Ireland and Scotland by way of the Borough of Bristol (Pennsylvania). Anchored by Kevin McCloskey (vocals, guitar, mandolin, banjo, bass) and Mindy Murray (vocals, guitar, banjo) with accompaniment by Marian Moran (tin whistle, low whistle, concertina, bodhrán) and Meagan Ratini (fiddle, Irish flute, tin whistle), they have cultivated a passion-infused style drawing from Celtic, Americana and Mountain influences. Their songs seek to empower and give voice to the disenfranchised in the belief that all the power that people lack in life can come back tenfold in their music.
