Welcome to a new episode of RFRadio - this time on RF Radio we have an eclectic mix of music from a Zimbabwe born Dj who lives in Glasgow.

ButhoTheWarrior first moved to Scotland in 2010 before moving to Somerset in 2013. Being close to Bristol exposed him to electronic music and allowed him to broaden his musical spectrum, attending gigs and festivals.

Butho moved back to Scotland in 2018 and started Jaiva club night which was growing steadily pre- lockdown. Since then there have also been multiple live streams under Jaiva such as the Black history month stream and New Years Eve Sub club stream with acts from Nightwave, Jasper James, Shakara, Optimistic Soul and more. 

ButhoTheWarrior plays all strains of House music, Jazz, Psychedelic, Disco, Electronic and African music. His sets are eclectic and broad in their music selection and often thought provoking, often highlighting  current social injustices.

He currently hosts regular shows on Clyde Built Radio and Radio Buena Vida.

We are happy that he will appear on our Satellite stage at the Riverside Festival on Saturday September 4th and then he will also be joining Skream, Disclosure & Rebecca Vasmant at Riverside by Night at SWG3.

‘Pride before Prejudice’ Mix (Live from the Beat Factory)

Adelphi Music Factory is a collective of three talented guys, both producers and DJs, hailing from the center of UK rave culture: Sheffield. Growing up there had a gigantic impact on them specifically when it comes to music. First, their crew name originates from two local venerated clubs. Then, most of their tracks take their titles from famous Sheffield clubs, such as Rise, Jive Turkey or NY Sushi. No need to say that the Steel City always calls home. Those guys are purveyors of contemporary, uplifting and addictive house music pumpers, usually perfect treats for wild nights. The monstrous percussions, euphoric piano jams and bouncing beats typify brotherhood, freedom and peace, with the one and only aim to bring people together to dance. The banger tunes on Shall Not Fade or their own imprint Beat Factory have been quickly picking up plenty of acclaim from the the crème de la crème house artists, including The Blessed Madonna, Gerd Janson, Cinthie or Annie Mac. No wonder they have already been reputed nationally with a stellar 2021 debut tour in traditional venues like Field Day, Pickle Factory or Printworks.

Today, they are literally blessing us with a blissful and spellbinding house, bringing modern vibes from Paul Johnson, Sally C or Kettama. Honestly, this sounds like the only proper way to close the summer season.
