7 years after releasing his first EP on Neurotrance Records, LiveWire is back with his second EP: Mechanical Shamanical. The release, which originates from a small corner in Northeastern India, traces the journey of a Shaman from his first experience with machines to a point where he understands AI. Through the course of the four tracks, the Shaman will take you through emotions that are organic, textures that are mechanical, and stories that are a mix of both. In the end, this Shaman has only one intention: to play with wires and machines inside your head.

The cedar tree, or the deodar, is the majestic green guardian of Uttarakhand's high-altitude forests. Standing tall and proud, this ancient forest resident has inspired folksongs, tales, and cultural practices.

In our first song of the series, women celebrate the deodar. They applaud the generosity of nature and invite others to join in the festivities. 

This week, in a very special offering, Roundglass Sustain is releasing a compilation of music from the mountains of Uttarakhand. These songs that we collected as we made our films are a celebration of people's intimate connection with nature.

The picturesque Johar Valley lies in Uttarakhand's Munsiyari region, flanked by majestic, snowclad peaks. The valley hosts rich deodar and pine forests and rare wildlife. The residents of Johar depend on the surrounding forests for food and sustenance. 

This folk song celebrates the symbiotic relationship between the people of Johar and the mountains and forests around them.
