The Resistance- Riyah B.

There are very few voices you can say will last forever, Riyah's natural & soulful sound has left many wondering how long it will be before she reaches total stardom - but it truly is just a matter of time.



On Sept. 5th, 2013 Riyah won The Center's coveted "PYT- PRIDE Youth Talent" show competition at Rain Nightclub in Palms Casino Resort overcoming dozens of the Valley's most talented youth. Not only did she take home the grand title, but she won over the attention of PYT judge and multi-platinum music producer Antwan "Amadeus" Thompson who was impressed by Riyah that he will now be producing a professional song for her, valued at $25,000.



Riyah has appeared on America's Most Talented Kids, performed at the Apollo in New York City as well as Valerie Simpson and Nicholas Ashfords (renowed writers for Motown Records) supper club in Manhattan called The Sugar Bar in April of 2018, & sang the National Anthem for the Lakers at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. Locally, she has graced stages in front of many influential Las Vegans including Senator Harry Reid, Senator Steven Horsford and former Congresswoman Shelly Berkley. Winning countless singing competitions all over the west coast, she is also the former Co-Host of Spit Fya Cafe a spoken word & creative expression radio show formerly on rizeradioglobal.com owned by DJ Thump of 88.1 every Tuesday at 1pm (pst) and has hosted rap battles in the AHAT battle league back in winter of 2016 and summer of 2017 as well as did voice overs for the AHAT battle rap league. She's performed at Classic Jewel in downtown Las Vegas, The 172 club in the Rio hotel and casino, Cork and Thorn in Las Vegas,  and countless other lounges in and outside of the Las Vegas area. Since 2006 she has been nominated in several categories for The Black Music Awards and has won, her list of awards include: The Sammy Davis Jr. rising star award 2006, Best Hip Hop vocslist 2007, Best Female Vocalist 2012, Best Neo Soul Performer 2019, and Best Female Jazz Artist 2020, she's destined for much success follow her on her journey.

- Featured Artist for Billy Preston’s Commencement Ceremonies when he graduated with his Doctrine Degree in Apple Valley, CA 2005.

- Singer with Gospel Band “This Side of Heaven” in Riverside, CA 2005 thru 2006.

- Unofficial performer the Pasadena Jazz Festival in Pasadena, CA- July 2005.

- Grand Champion for Television Show “Singsations” on Fox-TV in Las Vegas, NV – September 2005.

- Performer at “Showtime At The Apollo in New York City, NY – February 2006.
