This remix doesn’t just lift the original, it builds a whole new world around it. The raw, echo washed vocals of Fall were like a voice calling through empty space, but here? Rizlix gives that voice somewhere to land. The rhythm enters like a quiet heartbeat, steady and warm, while layers of synth and subtle texture form a kind of sonic dusk around it. It keeps the vulnerability of the original, but wraps it in pulse and presence, like a whisper given body. 💨 The kettle let off a soft hiss and said, “She was floating in space, and now she’s gliding just above the ground, I love it” ☕ The coffee machine gurgled and added, “There’s emotion here, but now it’s moving with intention, not just echoing, but arriving” 🧂 The salt grinder gave a graceful twist and purred, “Darling, this is what happens when atmosphere and affection hold hands.” 🧡 It’s sensitive, steady, and quietly powerful, a respectful reimagining that lets the soul of the original stay visible through the mist. Impressive.

Then She Reaches for the Gun was formed in 2021 by Mat Ward. At its essence is sound collage, Ward invites musicians, sound artists, poets and anyone interested to send him files to be used, abused and showcased ‘as suggested by the work’. They are not always musical but field recordings, spoken word, engine noises and drunken rants. Animals participate a lot too! The raw material is arranged with one phrase asking for the next in an alchemical and intuitive process that will most often feature dozens of tracks weaving in and out of each other, colliding, harmonising, arguing and laughing along the way.

Both the aesthetic and the compositional methods use what Frank Zappa called Xenochrony - the mixing together of separately recorded and rhythmically opposing musical phrases to create polyrhythmic and polytempi compositions.The work also features fragmented story telling with the human voice (in many languages) appearing unannounced throughout the tracks offering up snippets of thoughts, conversations, jokes and existential angst. The absurdity of humanities desperate claim to have any real understanding of its place in the universe is revealed through the recorded follies and genuine emotions of the artists. The project is a celebration of chance, diversity and community. It pays homage to all musical tastes and genres whilst maintaining a sense of humour and irreverence that is needed to stay sane in the climate of 21st Century contemporary culture.

Tim Elliot and I are delighted to offer you our latest Creation as (the harmonic,  electric One Mic- One Take power-duo) Shekinah Fire * 

As we Let Go in the moment... and improvised this Tone Poem using only Tim's Custom Atilla Guitar and my Kawai ES7 Stage Piano, the Solar Winds definitely seemed as if they were blowing thru our instruments... releasing sounds of passion, glory, and the occasional Solar Storm. 

But we'll leave it up to your Ears and Imagination to envision it. 

Again, this is an improvised electric Symphonic Composition of 7 Movements... born of our letting go of any pre-planned design, depending only upon Deep Listening and where the Music was leading us.

We can also promise you that if you stay with the unfolding flow there will be continual 'flowerings' as it radiates outwards and reveals itSelf.
