Kuwaq Yaku is a tribal track merging influences from old school dub, and techno, between the two phases. It's a track I've been sitting on for quite a while and has had 3 different names leading up to this release 🤣

'Kuwaq Yaku' is a location from a Tomb Raider playthrough I loved, and I feel the Mayan areas in the location harnessed the tribal feel of the track.

Hailing from Bergamo, Italy, Troviero (aka Fabio Todeschini) is a rising Italian DJ and producer.
Though only a year into his DJ journey, his talent has already caught the attention of notable names like Camoufly, Stresshead, Tennyson, Sober Rob and okgiorgio, with support from Jeremiah (Soundsystem Party) on BBC Radio 1 and Shosh on Kiss FM for his previous releases.

Following FULL MATCH, Troviero returns with CLOSER, set for release on 21st May 2025. CLOSER is a seamless blend of elongated synth lines and spacious, restrained beats that hint at the drop ahead. When it arrives, thick, intoxicating rhythms collide with the hypnotic chant of the “hands up, check” hook on loop. It’s a soundscape designed to pull you in and hold you there.

Both singles, FULL MATCH and CLOSER, form a two-part release. Speaking on the concept, Troviero explains:

“This run of singles explores dark, immersive soundscapes shaped by medieval visuals. It draws on the rhythmic structures of UK Garage, blended with bass music and the raw energy of dubstep. It’s an emotional and sonic experiment that ties the past to the present.”
