The Truth

It's been a while but I'm happy to upload this new instrumental which incorporates piano, strings, beats, synths, etc. It's got a slow build intro which pays off into some upbeat sections. I hope you enjoy it. Also, I think I'll make it available for DL as I've never done that before.

I must continue to thank Tara for her time, effort, and talent and at this stage I think it's about 90% how I want it to sound. Might keep fiddling.

Here's our latest piece based around a track and melody I've had laying around for years. Tara wrote all of the lyrics and harmonies which are as lovely as ever. Such a pleasure to work with. We hope you enjoy.

Do What You Do 2019 (ft Tara Minton)

This song is how is was originally intended and is now complete thanks to the amazing talents of Deni Hlavinka. I cannot thank her enough for first of all agreeing to do this and then for adding so much. Her harmonies are just stunning and she was almost telepathic in her ability to pick up the melody and expression that I had hoped for in the tune.

This song was written over 10 years ago on an acoustic guitar and to hear it now like this is a dream for me. I really cannot express my gratitude enough to Deni for working with me on this song.

Some people put the lyrics here but hopefully the mix is about right for them to be heard.

I was so pleased when Oliver agreed to add his beautiful orchestration to my latest piano piece. I cannot describe how amazing his choices were to me. So different from what I would have chosen but so beautiful and captivating and unique. It's taken the track to another level in my opinion.  The speed at which the man works is ridiculous. He may even be a machine!

The Journey (with Oliver Sadie)

A while ago someone asked if I could play any of my tracks on the piano, and you know what, I couldn't remember anything but the thing I was working on at the time. I don't read music so unless I keep playing a piece and commit it to solid memory and muscle memory, it just fades. That is the case with pretty much everything that I have written. I decided to relearn this one and I added to it as it never really felt finished. It took me a while but not being the best piano player, I am actually really proud of my own achievement to be able to play this all the way through. It has given me a hunger to learn pieces by famous folk to learn some more techniques as there is something about playing the piano that feels wonderful, especially something that really challenges my brain and fingers but which you overcome with patience and practice.

This awesome remix was actually by a talented Russian artist call Vadim Spark but was stolen by Megaclown who claimed it for his own. It's released under the Megaclown name unfortunately but just know that that doosh is a thief and scoundrel!

I created this version of The End for a short film after being asked by the director. I think this is actually better than the original. Stripped back to organic instruments but still gets to go bang at the end.
