Reneil Lee is a rising artist who hails from Chicago and has a passion for beat-making. He began experimenting with music production using GarageBand on his iPhone, and would often share his beats with friends CTB Royalty & CTB Jig. During his freshman year, Reneil discovered a studio at his school and would spend countless hours there. Over time, he became known as "RJ the producer," a name that stuck with him. With a teacher present in the studio, Reneil absorbed everything he could about music production, but he was mainly focused on making beats at that time and didn't ask many questions about mixing songs. However, after hearing how one of his friend's songs, "Krazy," sounded in a studio session, Reneil felt inspired to write, mix, and master music himself.

As time passed, Reneil spent more time in the studio with CTB Royalty, observing and asking engineers how to mix and master tracks. In 2020, his school provided him with equipment to record, which gave him the opportunity to hone his skills further. As a result, he started recording others and improved his abilities in beat-making, mixing, and mastering. Over time, Reneil felt the urge to write his own music, which led him to produce, write, mix, and master his own tracks.
