Razor Blade is what happens when three eclectic talents hop on a Harley and bolt full throttle down the rabbit hole. Tech, Psy and Rock influences bubbling over, garnished with grit and served scalding. 

This was the last track that was produced for the album, an expulsion of all the remaining creative energy, the boom of which was almost audible. John's bass, atmospheres and guitars. My percussion, textures and lyrics, in turn brought to life by the raw vocal talent of Jay Whiltshire. 

No aimless melodies.
No endless breakdowns.
No cheap snare rolls.
No cheesy vocals.
No copying.
No templates.

Just pure unadulterated punk trance.

It’s a twisted jungle gym of naive sound design and arrangement, melodrama, cynical humor, and nostalgic tenderness. From demonic cartoon samples to near-death hallucinations, warped love, dead pet elegies, and the fight against existential boredom, each track retraces a moment of personal myth. Some naive, some painful, others deeply cynical, but all woven with a sense of playful disobedience.

It’s chaotic, melodic, and sometimes just ridiculous. The sound of an inner child throwing paint at the void and laughing when it stares back.🫣

RJ Van Xetten is a trance DJ hailing from Los Angeles, California. With a passion for music from a young age, he began his career as a DJ at local clubs and events in his hometown. Over time, RJ developed a deep appreciation for trance music and its ability to transport listeners to another world. In addition to his DJing, RJ is also a skilled producer, with several successful trance tracks to his name.
