This is a recording of the show broadcast live on Saturday 24th May 2025, as part of the May Bank Holiday AfterDarkRadio takeover, featuring loads of DJs from the station, past and present, all broadcasting live for over 24 hours in total across the 2 days.

This is the first of two 1 hour sets I did for the weekend & represents a departure from my usual atmospheric flavours. My raving journey started back in the mid 90s at events like Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, United Dance & these tunes really all represent that era for me. 

I had a great nostalgic trip down memory lane putting these tunes together & hope you enjoy the mix too.

My journey started back in the Breakbeat Hardcore days of 92 at the age of 19. Was lucky enough to witness some legendary events & venues such as AWOL @ Paradise Club, Innersense @ Lazerdrome, Elevation @ Club DaDa, Vision @ Popham Airfield and various Exodus Warehouse Raves in and around the Dunstable/Luton area. 

As the 90's progressed and Jungle evolved from the Hardcore split in 93, I was a regular attendee at Bukem & Fabio’s seminal Speed Night at the Mars Bar in Charring Cross. This sound was a huge influence on the direction my DJ sets would take. 

Bought my first set of MK2 1210’s in late 93 and after learning the craft started sending mix tapes out to as many promoters as I could around 95. This paved the way to many sets at some legendary events & venues including a residency at Equinox @ Milwaukees, a residency at Pure Science @ Atomics Maidstone, Desire @ The Island Ilford and One Nation @ The Rhythm Station. 

In 1996 I also won Eternity Magazine’s Breaking New Talent competition for best Jungle entry under my first DJ name Windrush.

I set up my first music studio in 2000 and in 2005 was offered the opportunity to remix/rework Noise Factory’s 92 classic - Breakage #4 (I Bring You The Future). This turned out to be a great success and saw support from LTJ Bukem, Fabio, Doc Scott, Marcus Intalex, Bailey, DJ Lee, D Bridge, Madcap and many others.

Fast forward to 2024, and I’ve finished a new remix of Noise Factory’s - Breakage #4 which has so far been getting support from Bailey, Outrage, Madcap, DJ Lee and Influence Records.

2025 and beyond will see as many DJ sets as I can fit in and certainly more new music which will mostly be collabs with my partner and fellow Kane FM resident DJ Tina Zanetti.

From November 2024 I am back on the Kane FM Airwaves with my Monthly Jungle/D&B show - ‘The Saturday Night Rollout’ (7pm to 9pm UK Time). My show will be covering everything Jungle/D&B from the foundation years to the present and beyond…
