After his stunning remix for Tunisian world music duo YUMA, that occupied the Beatport charts for months, Rey&Kjavik delivers a smart remix package for his exclusive BAR25 tune „Mamukte“: Chilean Rodrigo Gallardo comes up with a more than deep and sophisticated version that proves that he ́s with good reason one oft he most hyped acts in the genre after his releases on Sabo’s Sol Selectas and Nickodemus’ Wonderwheel Records. The EP includes more mixes by Niju and Argentinian duo Las Cabra (in company with Sascha Cawa) that complete the picture of Rey & Kjavik’s sound.

Rey&Kjavik had a great year 2017, not only with the release of his debut album „Rkadash“. His remix for Tunisian world music duo YUMA occupied the Beatport charts for months and took the world (music scene) by storm. Rey & Kjavik’s treatment for Swiss singer / songwriter Danit could follow in those footsteps, as he treats the musical piece with respect and adds the right portion to bring it to another level... another proof, that the German producer and DJ has clearly found his trademark sound!
Danit is a Swiss singer songwriter, whose music is an expression of gratitude for life and nature. Cuatro Vientos, speaks of four winds that come from the mountains, the ocean, the desert and the forest; each one bringing its unique quality.

Saraswati is the first part of the remix trilogy from Rey&Kjavik’s debut album „Rkadash“, including two top notch remixes by Armonica and Gerd Janson’s & Philipp Lauer’s Tuff City Kids imprint.

Armonica, the charismatic Italian duo from Riccione, have been more than a insider tip with releases on Mo’Black among others and with great support from the likes of Dixon, Ame, Solomun. Whereas Frankfurt based DJ's and producers Gerd Janson (Running Back label) and Philipp Lauer (Arto Mwambe) alias Tuff City Kids have been a household name in the electronic music scene with remixes for Azari & III, Tensnake and releases on Delsin, Live at Robert Johnson and most notably Munich-based Permanent Vacation Recordings, where they released debut album called „Adoldesscent“ in 2016.

Rey&Kjavik has a preference for mystical and spiritual soundscapes in an electronic music context. His debut album, 'Rkadash', released last year, emphasized the artist's state of mind and transfered the creativity of this significant chapter in his life to the dancefloor. But in the same pace as time moves on people do as well, hence the producer has spent and wisely used the past couple of months to come to terms with transforming his newly gained impressions resulting in his second studio album, 'Mountiri' that will be released in december on his own label RKJVK. The approach of 'Mountiri' differs from his first album as Rey&Kjavik created a concept album that strongly focuses on the flow in the style of a good old mixtape that you can listen to in one go. Musically the artist stayed true to himself and yet created an advanced spiritual and mystical piece of art that highlights his versatility by drawing on oriental vibes and desertic rhythms that come in relaxing, as in the album's opener 'Saraswati' (Mountiri album version), but build up tension throughout the album's journey and peak with 'Amaan' before achieving both, peace and freedom in the soundscapes of the LP's name giving and closing track 'Mountiri'. With his second album Rey&Kjavik crosses the frontiers of a visible reality being turned into an auditory experience and to become one in the musically experienced moment.
