Beginning as a modular synth jam recorded directly to tape, this track eventually gained acoustic guitars,  shortwave radio, hand percussion and a pocket piano with a dying battery.

I'm starting to build a Eurorack system, beginning with a Pittsburgh Modular System 10.1+. Here's a bit from Day 1 trying to figure it out. Focusing here on working the clock and LFO to get some rhythmic noise. No idea what happens at the end.

Batumi Master

I sync'd my eurorack with some classic '90s hardware including a Yamaha TG77, EMU Proteus 2/XR, and Korg M3R. 

I set out to make Latin Freestyle, but obviously missed the mark. Regardless, it's fun to have all this gear playing together.

Lycaon

Working out with Mutable Instruments' Rings. The opening is all Rings, then some other rhythmic accompaniment fades in, including some robot vocals from the always-fun SynthTech e950. Rings was sequenced with a simple 4-bar melody from BSP, and it was in one of the basic resonator modes (no secret handshakes)with nothing patched to the input. I'm delighted by how organic it sounds when the settings are just right, though you can definitely tell when I wind up getting it wrong.

Improv jam with a Roland SH-7, Korg MS-10, Moog Voyager, SCI Prophet 600 and Elektron Octatrack sequenced by a Sequentix P3.

Steeped Overloader

Clicks, fizz, flutter, splutter and hiss!

Modular synth, gestural control, micro edited monodic study 

Modules were Cwejman VM1, Maths, Borg 1, Elby SH-Noise, Doepfer Dual VCA and Choices joystick

Gestures performed using Trigger Finger note and pressure data running into Kenton Pro-2 Midi CV converter.

Panning done with modular... but had to tame it a bit in Logic! 

Will explain patch a bit... 

VM1 filter out goes into Maths ch 2 -> ch 1 as comparator (see maths manual), using EOR to either trigger Borg control directly or Maths chn 4 into Borg control. Filter out also multed back into VM1 Audio in and VM1 Osc CV 2. 

Had 4 chns of pressure from trigger finger going variously to VM1 Osc CV 1, PW Mod, Filter CV, VM1 VCA (Amp level) and Borg key track (had to swap them about a bit). 

Borg went into 2 channels of Doepfer Dual VCA fed with SH CV (inverted into vca chn 1) that was triggered by Maths EOR (essentially every time the comparator threshold is reached). Had to manually attenuate the panning CV with Choices as I'd run out of VCAs (otherwise I'd have used pressure for that too). 

Main factor is the chaotic behaviour VM1 filter demonstrates when hit very hard with a narrow pulse at 12k and beyond as CV! Can do this internally with VM1...
