We’ve been fans of wave and neo-grime scenes for some time now, so when CSV expressed interest in getting involved we were excited. Fast forward more months than would be ideal (thanks to Fergus’ shadmin) and we can finally present CSV’s mix! London-based Chris is one of the pioneers pushing the neo-grime and waves sounds, genres that take from UK sounds of the 2000s and 2010s, and give them a fresh coat, influenced in part by the modern sounds of trap and hip-hop coming out of the US. What’s more, CSV’s skills extend far beyond music, with the producer also gaining recognition for his visual art and lecturing at Point Blank music school!

This mix is packed full of his own productions, as well as dubs from other key players in the scene, whilst being interspersed with some seriously Murky UK bass flavas. Ft. music from the man himself, Kareful, gl00my, Nikki Nair, Dual Monitor, Outsidr + more!

If you love the feel of grime, dubstep and breaks but are looking for something fresh, then this mix is for you: full of classic squarewave stabs and sporadic drums, coupled with ethereal pads and fat reese basses - this mix definitely feels like music from the future!
