Exilles is a project born from the alchemy of two minds, united by a common desire to undermine, compose and recompose raw, corrosive and dreamy sounds with a mystical and enigmatic imagery. They strictly perform live, orchestrating ancestral ceremonies with analog machines and modular synthesizers, whose dark and hypnotic sounds chase the persistent in a synesthetic atmosphere.
With their techno built around the polarity of light and darkness, black and white, continuously keeps us poised between opposites, between consciousness and raving.
After years of experience of residency as LiveAct/DjSet among European Techno scene with other alias, they release the first ep as Exilles on Involve Records, followed by other ep’s on A.R.T.S, Planet Rhythm, Persistence and their own Genau Recordings. They performed Live in different Clubs like Smolna, Griessmuehle, Fabrik and more

A millennial stronghold, where space and time seem to crystallize. Exilles invites you to enter the wide entrance, built with thunderous, corrosive kick and neurotic sounds. Proceed to enter a maze of tunnels, stairs, niches that emerge from the hypnotic sounds from the floor and clinging on to it, little by little, airy and seductive melodies, inviting you to go even deeper.
And then that telluric rhythms became more tight and you find yourself trapped, breathless, paralyzed: a crypt, a man. The face covered with a mask. The sound waves become ink and pervade the body, helpless, wrapped in a dream synth tangle. The assertive kick back lashing his shots, with the ritual ending. The crossing to escape has finally opened.

Two years ago Paula Temple first fell in love with RIOT CODE after receiving their impressive early demo tracks and releasing "Her Eyes” last year on Noise Manifesto, which also received tremendous reactions.

‘Anam Cara’ sees RIOT CODE explore deeper into the sonic embodiment of rave culture in Ireland. The EP title ‘Anam Cara’ is derived from the Irish language as the pair explore their rave heritage in their home town of Derry and how the city's unconventional charisma has helped shape the duo’s creative output. Translated as ‘Soul Friend’ in English, the offering serves as a rare moment of delicacy from Oliver and Stephen as they pay homage to their mentors Paula & Nicole, who have influenced the pair's artistic trajectory, and are close allies within the LGBTQ+ community. This EP shows RIOT CODE at their most vulnerable, honest and triumphant.

‘ANGEL GAZE’ opens up the release with an ethereal influx of heavenly sweeping strings that ascend into massive breakbeats before its transformation into an emotionally charged anthem.

‘FAR FROM HOME’ is an unapologetically peak-time techno monster of a track turning the dial to 11. This is a relentless acid-submerged scorcher. The energy continues to rise throughout the track as the duo perfectly executes striking kick-drum switch ups and jump-style breakdowns. This will be the track played at every big hard techno event for the rest of the year.

Premiere: RIOT CODE - ANGEL GAZE [NM014]

Forging acclaim for their fiercely unrelenting sound production, New Frames are no stranger to shattering the parameters and caveats within electronic music with their masterfully curated approach to chaos. The collaborative project of Berlin-based David Frisch and Mathis Mootz (aka The Panacea) sees the duo engineer their hybridised palette of maximalist yet modular techno music in both their DJ and live sets. Pulling influence directly from dance floors both contemporary and from raving’s genesis, New Frames' all encompassing signature of ferociously layered sonic weaponry promises to leave no stragglers in their wake.

Presenting their debut double long player ‘Scherben’ - the body of work demonstrates the pair's eclectic merging of cataclysmic pure and raw techno, ominous vocals and distorted sound design across the eight track LP. Nimble mixing interbreeds New Frames’ quintessential cacophony of instrumentation, laminated with bombastic drum-beats and carnal vigour. Additionally with appearances from Eva Vuillemin, fellow BITE Records protagonist Omon Breaker as well as label co-founder Phase Fatale, the album comes as a natural progression following two previous EP releases on BITE as well as featuring on the labels fifth anniversary compilation record ‘Shredding Skin’ . 

Furthering the duo's pursuit of polarity within their melodic terrain, the album follows the structural composition of a mixtape, robust in its opening, experimental yet focused, unpredictable yet precise. Rhythmic tracks flesh out the hardware essence of the LP with the pair's signature hypnotic and commanding vocals ensuring New Frames’ dancefloor destroyer warranty.

Previously gracing lineups for venues including Berghain, Khidi, Tresor and Distillery,  the devastating floor-fillers of Scherben personify rave dance floors past and present directly from the cold walls of the underground scene the pair have inhabited for collective decades. The LP projects New Frames’ tried-and-tested understanding and execution of nuanced production interchangeable from the dancefloor or for intense home-listening.
