Signals 13 has landed courtesy of Crete based DJ and Producer, Fragedis. 

During the mid 90s, Fragedis started frequenting clubs and parties, where he developed a keen ear and immersed himself in the electronic music scene. It was around this time that he started collecting records and CD's, which led to him becoming a DJ. He then worked in a record store for 5 years, fuelling his interest even further. Fragedis has become a widely respected artist, and has had the pleasure of sharing the decks with DJ's such as Alienata, Pasiphae and Delta Funktionen. 

It was around 2005 when Fragedis started to produce music - first toying with Reason, then later moving on to Ableton Live. Fast forward to 2019 and he's released on a plethora of well regarded labels such as Pi Electronix, Phormix, Soil, Negative and Modal Analysis - check out his Intersection EP, it's seriously good. Keep an eye out for future projects, there are plenty incoming. 

For this hour Fragedis has expertly pieced together a stellar blend of Electro, with hints of wave and body music throughout. This is a really good one.

Founder of Cultivated Sound, Maŕa is a leading player in New York's shadowy dance music underground. Her sound, evoking images of a distant universe, is a synthesis of deep, complex atmospheres and punchy cosmic rhythms tinged with dance-floor grit. Maŕa's unassuming demeanor and calmly disarming looks contribute to her ability to bring listeners into the fold of her cinematic sound. Blistering beats, bludgeoning bass, hypnotic landscapes, and guilty-pleasure sounds all come together in her mixes and productions. A recent release with Always Human Tapes, AHT 106, brings her unique voice, literally and figuratively, into an ambient context both visceral and serene.
Maŕa's natural proclivity towards music was nurtured by her Argentine parents. The moments she has shared and continues sharing with her loved ones are a constant source of inspiration, and she has found great satisfaction in transforming the soundscapes of her dreams into reality. With a technique reminiscent of film scoring, Maŕa has recently specialized in long-form improvised compositions of fully original material. The result is a unique, spellbinding take on ambient-focused dance music.

In 2015, the Brooklyn-based artist found herself with a new vision and a singular goal: to connect people through music. By shining the spotlight on deserving artists who share her ethos, whether they are understated locals or established international stars, Maŕa is manifesting that goal. Cultivated Sound continues to be her ever-evolving flagship endeavor.

Her recent release in 2019 with Nocturnal Frequencies is to further develop her audience into her soundscapes by using more experimental approaches, unusual ways of creating her sonic forms and gestures that blurs the boundaries between balance and Chaos. Maŕa has also released a VA under her label Cultivated Sound with partner Chamberlain Zhang which included 29 artists, 27 tracks and 3 tapes, called Special Interest Group. Later in 2020 she released on Air Texture which will be 2 side non-dance floor compilation with Silent Servant & Rrose and her first compilation release on her label Cultivated Sound coming out January 2020. Later in 2020, she released on Air Texture VII a 2 sided non-dance floor compilation curated by Silent Servant & Rrose. Her first solo album will be released in 2021.

Maŕa

group A is a Tokyo experimental electronics, minimal wave & violin female duo band formed by Tommi Tokyo, Sayaka Botanic.  
Tommi Tokyo (synth, drum machine, vocals) and Sayaka Botanic (violin, tapes and sampler) released 2 studio albums and 1 live album in Tokyo, before to move in Berlin in 2016. With their mixture of dark minimal synth, avant-noise, striking visuals and performance art, the duo still carries on the very breath of early industrial pioneers such as Throbbing Gristle, Die Form, Klinik, Cabaret Voltaire.

Their first release coming on 2012 with a series of  self releases until 2015. Then Mannequin Records had a vinyl release in 2017 called “group a”.  Kashual Plastik released on 2018 Circulation EP.  2 years later in 2020 we find them again on Alessandro Adrianni's  Mannequin Records with the release “anOther”.
The same year, released  a vinyl edition of group A's first full length studio album self-released in October 2013 only in CDR format. 9 tracks of genuine experimental minimal electronics. 
 The following mix  drive us on an one-hour journey of industrial, experimental, outlandish beats and avant garde sounds with an idiosygrasic attidute. Enjoy!
