When it comes to my lifestyle, I'm very much a homebody and a bit of a workaholic. I find stress in travel and feel very awkward at social gatherings. I'm shy, I don't drink (alcohol, beer or coffee) or do drugs. I don't play video games or watch much television either. I would rather spend my time creating something rather than consuming something. I would rather spend time with one close friend talking about deep feelings than a large group of people I don't really know. This makes for quite a lonely life at times, but I'm used to it.

My rather routine, safe lifestyle is in stark contrast to my music - which represents the suppressed feelings I never felt comfortable expressing.

It was not always that way though. This is coming from someone who used to play video games about five hours a day. This is coming from someone who remembers spending most of my summer vacation as a kid either outside riding my bike, playing sports or inside watching television all day. This is coming from someone who used to dislike work. This is coming from someone who was concerned about online privacy and avoided social media. This is coming from someone who was afraid of being alone. This is coming from someone who daydreamed during High School of traveling to Europe to meet their soulmate.

And even though there are parts of me that haven't changed, the passing of time has reality sinking in. I haven't given up hope of meeting my soulmate, even if it doesn't happen in my lifetime. It's time for me to just be me through the ebbs and flows.
