Our man Tiago was in town recently for some gigs and was nice enough to come out to Kane studios to record a podcast, hang, and have some liquid refreshments. Hailing from Lisbon where he is a weekly resident at Club Lux, Tiago has a laid back intensity that is reflected in the expansive and inquisitive nature of his sets. Raised on good music in his home, turned on to drumming by his older brother, he came to Dj'ing via live music. He has been at it for close to twenty years, and in the last decade added production work to his resume. Recording of my DJ set at Club der Visionäre on August 12th. Unfortunately, the original recording was clipping quite a bit, so I re-recorded parts of the set. I had a bit too much fun, got carried away, and didn’t fully stick to my track list from that night 🫠. Hope you still enjoy it! A pivotal figure in the Sheffield scene and beyond, he's been in the game for years and has joined us as a Doodle guest for the last 3 of them.
On the 17th October, he'll make his 4th Doodle appearance at Die Cast.

Inés is a Chicago based DJ, record collector, party organizer, and visual artist. Her interest in dance music was focused during her time working at the renowned underground party Durty Truth, and later through her own party, Work Ethic. She credits mentors Darryn Jones and Mark Grusane (among others) with forming her taste in the more obscure corners of disco and soul, as well as helping her form a relationship with music based in honesty, courage, and trust in the higher power of sound.
Work Ethic remains her labor of love: month after month, Inés and a team of Chicago's best push to keep putting on one of Chicago's most beloved independent parties. The party's notable guests always share one trait: They work hard.

Lepablot began his musical journey in the mid-90s, when he started listening to and collecting records from Underworld, Cassius, Daft Punk, and Motorbass. In those early releases, he discovered a wide spectrum of styles that were still rare in Buenos Aires: breaks, techno, electro, and house—often stripped of vocals, with raw beats and powerful phrases. That’s where he found the sound that would shape him: deep, emotional, raw, and spacey—music that could be both introspective and club-ready.

In 2011, he began performing as a DJ and traveling with his music, playing gigs and holding residencies across Argentina, New York, Punta del Este, Paris, and Berlin. Over time, his sound evolved into a more abstract and raw profile, deeply influenced by Detroit’s musical legacy, but always tuned in to the eclectic flavors of the French scene.

Today, he stays true to that vision: deep house sets with analog textures, rough basslines, pianos, and hypnotic grooves. Loyal to physical format, he sees vinyl digging and selection as an act of resistance against digital immediacy. From that philosophy came projects like Bla Bla Baires, Save Your Friends From Bad Music, and Living Analógica—spaces where music is the core, and vinyl is the only rule.

Mike Grant is part of the first wave of artists who shaped the sound of Detroit. He began DJing in the early 1980s under the mentorship of Blake Baxter and has since been a quiet yet pivotal force in the history of techno and house: a member of the legendary “Street Beat” crew alongside Juan Atkins and Derrick May, a key figure in Detroit’s first radio mix shows, and one of the earliest DJs to appear on WGPR’s The Scene alongside Jeff Mills and other pioneers.

He was also the first U.S. DJ to hold a residency at Berlin’s iconic Tresor club, a global temple of underground music. As a producer, he released essential records under his own name and as Black Noise, and has been remixed multiple times by Mr. G.

In 1999 he founded Moods & Grooves, a label that became a meeting point for the most authentic strains of house and techno. It has released music from Moodymann, Theo Parrish, Mr. G, Andrés, Glenn Underground, and opened the door for countless emerging voices through Mike’s distinctive curation.

The Moods & Grooves universe also includes artists like Nico Lahs, Solid Gold Playaz, Gene Hunt, Piranha Head, Brian Harden, Rick Wade, Amp Fiddler, Alton Miller, Blake Baxter, Kyle Hall, and Boo Williams — different eras and trajectories united by a common thread: deepness as a message.

Despite dedicating much of the 1980s and 1990s to military service — including a deployment in Afghanistan where he oversaw the technical operations of a gospel ministry — Mike never stepped away from music. In 2022, he received a Testimonial Resolution from the City of Detroit recognizing his cultural contributions and musical legacy.

Today, Mike Grant continues to spin records and minds with sets that are living history, a pulsing present, and a vision of the future. Electronic music with soul: deep, uncompromising, and real.
