While on a recent trip to Chicago & while feeling a little down, overlooking the city and it's love vibe inspired me to keep fighting onward after a tough year of healing. I tried to channel the spirit and inspiration while researching the minds of not only David Bowie but Tony Visconti & Brian Eno in the writing and recording process of this beautiful song released October of ’77.

For people who don't understand why others mourn the death of artists, you need to understand that these people have been a shoulder to cry on. Our rock. They've been family, friends, leaders, teachers and role models.

Many have taught us what we need to know what to do when times get rough. They've helped us move on. They've pushed us out of bed. They've helped us live when nobody else had the time to.

Artists have inspired us in endless ways and have been with us through stages in our lives. We've made memories with them. So when they die, a part of us dies, but the music lives on.

The first single off Rob Anthony's long awaited new album, set for release in 2014. 

Earlier this year, in his first sessions with the band in over five years, Rob Anthony started laying tracks on what will be his 6th studio album release.

“It got spiritual”, anthony admits, “When energies connect on a musical level it’s unlike any other experience. In a short while I’ll be releasing these new songs to the world. In a short while I’ll, once again, remember why I do what I do.” 

Since the release of his fifth solo album ‘While The World Sleeps’ followed by a severe throat injury leaving him with a year long struggle through vocal therapy Anthony is excited to return with the band releasing what he calls “a mix of midwestern Americana songs with a touch of caribbean flavor.”

Wrapped in a blanket of Americana allure, tugging on a few heartstrings, Rob Anthony leaves us with the sense of an artist who reaches into the soul, grabs the struggles of the inner man, and weaves it into a solid personal connection.

I Feel Your Love is dedicated to my love for the ocean and its potion for all sorrows. It's inspired by Bob Marley and the Reggae Rocksteady movement of the late 60's & 70's. I truly hope this Caribbean flavored mix of midwestern love brings a smile and touches the soul. One love.
