The UK has been engulfed in a cladding crisis, and my home is one of the buildings affected. 

Throughout 2023 and early 2024, the cladding/insulation on my flat has been replaced. I have recorded the sounds of the drills, lifts, builders etc. and combined them with the mundane sounds of my building (e.g. alarms, extractor fans, the opening/closing of blinds).

Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Joe’s signature bright, melody-based, minimal pop aesthetic truly glimmers with synthesized effervescence on ‘MIDI Pile’. Previously releasing the stellar ‘EXEP’ with French label Sound Pellegrino, Howe’s bubbly blend of synth pop and club music elements pay homage to electronic/avant garde music pioneers such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Scritti Politti, Haruomi Hosono, Green Gartside, Laurie Anderson, and Peter Gabriel. Intricate, minimal collages of odd rhythms and bloopy, sharp synths bounce over experimental vocal chops in a modular experience of vocoded, synthetic, bionic timbre.

Melbourne based Swick has his new EP, 'Stamina' on NLV Records as premiered via Dummy Mag. Joining the producer and connoisseur in experimental club sounds, is a prestigious roll of guests - from Boysnoize Records' Spank Rock, to Sydney's Marcus Whale (from Collarbones, Black Vanilla), Norway's Henrik the Artist and the previously heard Eden xo on cut "Sideline".

Alongside "Sideline", come four unheard tracks - each highlighting how groundbreaking Swick can be, as he takes dance music to something that's unlike anything else out there. From a high energy club track that zips, pops and clicks with Henrik the Artist, to a dark and rolling collaboration with Spank Rock - this is Swick at his most creative.

With a discography that includes Diplo, Tkay Maidza, Major Lazer and more - Melbourne's own well-shaken can of bubbly fizzy drink today adds another accolade to his resume, releasing his first EP with Nina Las Vegas' helmed record label NLV Records.
