In 1983 Dutch Mix Pioneer Ben Liebrand started his series of Grandmixes. They became an annual gem for more than a decade, released at the end of each year. Many have tried to copy his unique style but no one showed the same consistency the way Ben Liebrand did. Nowadays making a yearmix isn't that unique anymore because modern music is much easier to mix than music back in the day. To honour the original series of Grandmixes I created - in 2004 - the 1982 year mix (search for it, it's on the web) which was broadcasted by Ben Liebrand in his weekly radioshow called "In The Mix" . Now, with Ableton as my weapon of choice and the web for research (Discogs, Youtube) I created also a 1981 yearmix, 33 years after date. Enjoy it, like and share it if you can. Thanks in advance.
