Rob Cain - Make Some Noize EVENT 3 promo mix

Its mad to think that this sound has come full circle. 
When this European pumping vibe first came around in the late 90's I was completely swept away in it. 
The Klubbheads, DONS, Brooklyn Bounce, DJ Rene & Da Groove, SM Trax, BOB Ltd, DJ Jean, Tim Wokan, Mac Zimms and DJ Cerla (to name a few) were all a huge part of my musical style and massively influenced me right the way through the next two decades. 
Sadly I closed that chapter of my life in 2017. The music in the UK had become too fast and barely resembled the sound i had fell in love with. 

Fast forward to 2023 and the resurgence is in full flow. 
The classics have been getting some huge support from artists like Patrick Topping, Solomun, Denis Sulta, Hannah Laing, Ben Hemsley and Airwolf Paradise and many current and popular producers all over the world have been adapting this old style into their new productions. 

I have always been a fan of this music. It was the right speed, had the right energy and that deep underground vibe that really appealed to me. 

This mix is my celebration of everything thats currently happening with this new Klubb sound. Not surprisingly, a huge chunk of it comes from Holland. It all still has that authentic 90's vibe that made it so popular in the first place.

The first in a series of mixes where I've digged deep into my archives and put together a selection of tracks from my past. I'll be looking into all sorts of great genres such as Funky House, Scouse House, Disco, Trance, Hard House, Old Skool and much more. 
This first edition see's us looking right back to the mid 90's when hardcore was king. 
Venues like The Dock, Club Kinetic and The Drome where all banging out an assortment of faster beats, and lots of it came from over the sea from our friends in Holland. 
This mix is a tribute and testament to the great Hardcore than came from over in Europe from that period. 
If 175bpm is too fast for you, you may as well skip this one!

Rob Cain - From The Vaults (Volume 01) (European Happy Hardcore Classics)

The second instalment in the series delves into my archives of Funky House anthems. 
When I started DJing around Liverpool in the late 90's and early 00's I was initially a warm up DJ. I'd play the first hour or two before the main DJs came on and played a bit tougher. 
At that time I was playing lots of US House, Funky House and Deep House bits. Then in 2002 there was a huge boom in Funky House and it became the soundtrack to the majority of Liverpools dancefloors. 

I was resident at Bar Red which along with Society and Garlands was musically miles ahead of the rest of the city. 
Showcasing all the latest and greatest tracks we could get our hands on from all over the world. It was an amazing part of my life! 

This mix, spread over 2 hours, captures a brief moment in that era. There was too much unbelievable music to fit into one mix so I'll do a part two at a later date. 
For now though, enjoy.

One of my absolute faves, but just needed a more bouncy version to play in more current sets.
